  1. It's a very heavy 4WD car, so it's going to be hard on brakes and tyres regardless. Expect to pay around £800 for tyres per year, budget £1K for servicing (don't forget early cars needed 2x services a year IIRC), fuel usage is going to be higher than what you're paying now, and mods of course have the GT-R tax on them. Have a look at what gearbox work costs as well, just in case that goes wrong as that's going to be the biggest risk for you in terms of unknowns. Maybe £2k? That's not to say the C63 will be much better, though!
  2. Well, that's not what I expected to wake up to this morning. Where on earth did a possible Tory majority come from?!
  3. What colour is that? And no-one say green!
  4. Perfect. Well, I need to play with the FF settings a bit as I'd like a bit more resistance, but aside from that I've gelled very, very quickly. No way in hell I'd be quicker with a pad on this!
  5. Yeah, they're rubbish without a flag on
  6. Thrustmaster TX with TH8A shifter and T3PA pedals, with the Ferrari GTE wheel. It's a beautiful setup, albeit a pricey one. So worth it though.
  7. BWAHAHAHAHAHA PROJECT CARS IS BRILLIANT!!! :D :D Got the controls sorted now (triggers are on the pedals), so set the car up as I would have it in real life and it's just amazing. The practice/qualy/race format is mint, I absolutely love it! It's such a buzz when you underfill your car with fuel to try and make the pace up, then get it massively wrong and have to manage your fuel through the race. I'm starting my career in the Formula Rookie class, first race was at Oulton. The AI is a bit reckless during qualifying and tbh I could've done with cranking the difficulty up from 50 as I mullered them by 4.5 secs a lap. That's with just ABS and the racing line on, else I lock up everywhere and it's impossible to see the corners when the sun is in your eyes during an evening race. I tried Le Mans in a storm in the Ruf GT3, man that's just horrible to drive. We should totally set up a proper championship with this, it'll be perfect for it. I had a quick online race which was good fun, one knobhead smashed me off but the other guys waited which was decent of them. I'm sorry for ever doubting this, I really am.
  8. Cannot believe for one second those exit polls are correct, not in a million years.
  9. Dude, the start of that first video is brilliant! Man, I really enjoyed watching that, good work!
  10. Blimey, someone's on the blob today.
  11. I know
  12. Here's a reason to vote UKIP! I can put up with a bit of casual racism if I get to drive a Cossie without paying road tax.
  13. I'm much better at FM5 with a controller than I am with a wheel. Thing is, it's nowhere near as much fun so I'd rather turn the AI down and enjoy myself than have it up hard (fnar) and much around on a controller.
  14. FFS
  15. But not the Irish one.
  16. Evora or Cayman.
  17. The video game, it's not an actual project car! We're discussing it in the 'What game have you played lately' thread already.
  18. Link to those knives plz
  19. Typical bloke! It makes a huge amount of difference, definitely get it changed
  20. Just use the GP mount with the 3M sticky pads on the top of that beam.
  21. So why is it you're capable of explaining a point clearly and succinctly without sounding like someone who wants to rip the heart out of every low income tax payer, but Cameron can't? It's common sense, and when explained perfectly like that there really shouldn't be an argument against it.
  22. Out of curiosity, I just tried googling the following: Why not to vote... UKIP Conservative Labour Lib Dem The results? In order: 10.5M 135M 137M 11.2M So working on that basis, there's fewer reasons NOT to vote for UKIP than any of the other parties.
  23. Fair enough. Like you say, what people say can really change your opinion of them.
  24. It's not very well known though, is it? Else you'd have been able to come up with much more evidence. Claiming that UKIP are racist and everyone who votes for them is a racist is the quickest way to ensuring they get more popular. Some of their proper policies are duff, and only by talking about them can that be proven: If you bury your head in the sand and claim they're all racists then you do the opposite. Are the Tories all paedophiles then because they covered up the scandal back in the day? Lead from the top, and all that.
  25. Easy target, sadly. I particularly like how they want to raise the top level of income tax for high earners, despite the fact that the reason the Coalition dropped it was because it was actually bringing in less tax due to the wealthy going abroad instead. It's a silly idea, but it's very hard to argue against it without sounding like a snob.
