  1. http://jalopnik.com/the-nissan-idx-is-reportedly-really-really-dead-1706363899 Dead. Thankfully.
  2. Why are we not all playing MGSV? This is the game of a generation. It's better than GTAV, IMHO. As an example of why it's so clever (in spoiler tags in case you don't want to know how to defeat an enemy really easily, but there's no story spoilers here): It's that level of genius that makes this so engrossing. Completely out of the box thinking.
  3. Oh thank god for that, I can start using Scan again then! DPD are the best couriers bar none.
  4. It's the equivalent of a pint of beer a week. If you can't afford that, you can't afford to run a 3.5L V6, Simple as that. That's not being rich or a flash Harry, a pint a week is nothing to the vast majority of the population. If you don't like it, buy an older car. Money saved all round then!
  5. Fugly. Can't see it ever getting built, at least not looking like that. Plus, so far it's looking like it'll come with a CVT. DO NOT WANT.
  6. The only anime I've ever enjoyed was the Urotsukidoji series. Obviously you can't watch them all as some are banned in this country, but it's a truly messed up yet brilliant story. A bit dated now though.

I agree about the first one, but the latter two are exactly what a Porsche should be about. They always have been.
  8. Looks like 2% between the two tyres (fronts -1%, rears +1%) so TCS should be fine. We are going 40 on the rear But no, no need to match the 45 on the front as we've gone for a 30mm width stagger rather than OEM 20mm.
  9. It's absolute peanuts in the grand scheme of things. I don't know why people get so upset about it.
  10. I agree. My first test was far better in terms of my driving standard but I failed, the second test I made repeated silly mistakes but passed. Go figure.
  11. Should be absolutely fine
  12. Bobbins. It's down to the manufacturer to decide. Michelin don't actually publish theirs, but as a rule I use Toyo and their R888 as that's a solid control tyre. Also happens that you can see the sizes easily on their website
  13. Waste of time and money. I'd rather see re-tests every ten years, with more weight given to making progress and consideration for others than silly things like shuffling the wheel or reverse parking. Also, power limits for young drivers please.
  14. How close can you get? I'm too lazy to look at the Michelin site
  15. And then there's the necessary supporting mods like brakes and suspension... Bloody expensive to do, but worthwhile.
  16. Sadly I don't think they're available in the first size, might have to go 45 profile.
  17. 235/40 and 265/35 would be my choices, no stretch and sensible sizes too. What tyres are you planning on running, if possible?

I've already spoke to the dealership
  19. Because a 300bhp V8 will have more torque than a 300bhp V6, and more importantly it's got the soundtrack to match? If you could do the swap cheap enough then it'd be a great swap, but sadly I don't think it'd be any cheaper than an LS one. V12 swap would be perfect!

That's the M97 engine though, which hasn't been used since 2008. The 9x7.2 cars all used the DFI lump*, which has proven itself to be bulletproof since. *The 2.7 987 cars weren't DFI, but they used the same basic non-IMS block so I lump them together.
  21. Not far off! It was in one of the valleys as we headed down from Tongue, IIRC. I thought the car was broken at first, those things don't half make a racket!
  22. Enjoy folks I remember the roads up there well from my LEJOG trip, being overtaken by a low-flying Chinook was a highlight

Also, why mess with something that looks stunning? I'm more disappointed with the power train than I am with the looks (rear lights are nice, I hate those front four LED things though).
