  1. Was there a decent interior anywhere in the '90s? I'm struggling to think of one.
  2. WHAT WOT WAHT Dude, I'm ashamed to know you right now. F3 and FNV were astounding games! Honestly, don't worry about a demo, you just need to get F4 pre-ordered now. Trust me on this, I won't let you down. Hell, if you buy it and don't like it, I'll send you a box of choccy bars to make up for it.
  3. OMFG FORZA SIX IS TEH AMAZEBALLS :D Forget how pretty it looks (it's VERY pretty), and forget the number of cars (far too many IMHO), and forget that we have a sensible number of tracks this time (Brands, yay!). Forget all that. Instead, bask in the incredible feedback from the controllers. I have never, ever, EVER played any game with feedback this good. I played the demo with the controller, and the haptic feedback on the triggers is just so impressive, much better than F5 ever was and that was pretty darn good. However, get yourself a wheel, and this steps up another level. A massive level. Even on the opening bit as the Ford GT, when I came to the first couple of corners and had no idea where the track went so was going miles too fast, as I turned the wheel the instant understeer was as close to real life as I've ever got. I physically exclaimed in excitement at this, it's just absolutely perfect in terms of feel. This game demands a wheel, it really does. Oversteer seems to be more catchable as well, as long as you're quick enough with the wheel which you actually can be now. I've not even touched the settings, and it's perfect out of the box. PCars may have a billion options, but it's p*ss poor after this. It's utterly amazing. If you like cars at all, you should be getting an Xbone + wheel just for this. Motoring nirvana.
  4. Yes, I agree you're wrong
  5. Great, if you can see the car. What if you can't? I still maintain it's daft, and change for the sake of it.
  6. But it's irritating, as you can't just push a button to lock the car: You never know if you've locked or unlocked it! I hated that about mine. Incidentally, it's exactly a year ago today I sold mine.
  7. As good as BC stuff is, and I run it so I know it's good, it's not a patch on the top end Bilstein and KW stuff. If you can, you really should.
  8. Ones you wait 8 months for?
  9. Which 911? 996 is 'challenging', 997.1 has an awful satnav unit, 997.2 much better but still a bit bland. 100% better than the Zed though, in both ergonomics and quality. And so it should be, for over twice the money!
  10. Log book loan
  11. There was a reason I bought a car at the bottom of the depreciation curve Ultimately I could've got a car with half the mileage but paid another £3K more, and still I would've fallen foul of the seals at some point. This was at least I had a budget ready to go, even if it has happened a little quicker than I would've liked.
  12. Btw, I wouldn't worry about camber arms and other bits at this point, they won't make any difference to your ultimate goal. Get the main bit done then see how you feel, i suspect you'll be very happy with the outcome.
  13. A sensible budget At that range I'd be looking at something like the KW V3 kit, which might be a fraction more cash but it's pretty much the best you'll get. Other options I'd consider would be the B16 if you want to stick looking at Bilstein, they're excellent as well and to split the two kits would be splitting hairs. I'd definitely be looking to lose the Tein springs, they're very much a budget set designed for lowering rather than performance. Better than stock, but you can do much better on that budget.
  14. Ouch! Bet that's not a cheap fix
  15. What's the budget?
  16. K&N filters are great because they have a nut on the bottom, which makes removing them so much easier than a regular filter. Worth paying extra for that alone. If not, then I used to use either UFI or just go OEM if I was passing.
  17. Death or glory brother, death or glory!
  18. About a month or so I get so impatient! Well, the suspension should be here next week, and she's tentatively booked in for the 19th for the engine work so I'll probably just get all that done at the same time. Wheels arrive tomorrow so they should be on next week as I'm at JAE this weekend, the seats will take a little longer though as I need to take the trip to DT first, which needs planning in. I've got a Wales run in October with friends so I want the suspension stuff done before then, at the very least. The engine work may not happen before the Wales run as the guy doing it did his ankle in the other week, so he may not be back in time to complete before I go away. If that's the case, I'll just get the suspension sorted with the wheels on.
  19. She went absolutely mental over the white nylon straps when I cut them! Big puffy feather cat toy, not interested. Remains of packaging, MOST EXCITING THING EVAR!
  20. Oh, and over three times as much doesn't help either!
  21. No manual 'box, so not an option.
  22. Ooooooh
  23. If it doesn't clash with Wales, will that not mean it clashes with Le Mans?

    JAE 2015

Not worth it IMHO, most folks pack up and leave by lunchtime on Sunday so there's very little to see/do.
  25. You wouldn't have mentioned it if it didn't bother you, would you?
