  1. No, I wanted to know how to do exactly that, hence wanting a PM or the answer in spoiler tags. I got my PM though, so now I'm sorted.
  2. Would that not be down to the developer though? Surely they pay BT/Openreach for the install of the cables, and it's unlikely that fibre will be cheaper than copper, so they'll just default to the cheapest solution if they're building generic homes for regular folks. The only time they'd go fibre would be if they were expensive homes that they want to sell at the top end to People That Know Their Stuff, who won't pay a premium without fibre. Then they'd get the expensive stuff chucked in as they could make a profit from it. As it stands, the vast majority of people in this country are happy with regular ADSL and don't really understand or need to use the benefits of a proper fat pipe.
  3. Depends if it's Honda tech or Mercedes tech
  4. I want to know! PM or spoiler tag plzkthx.
  5. If you can prove that, there's a guy on PH who will pay your fine for you.
  6. The ad specifically states Zeta R, so looks like someone was done over then if you say they're the Zeta S. I've never seen either set in the flesh, I'm just going on what I found.
  7. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/55218-meisterr-zeta-r-coilovers-for-sale-500-sold/ That post there would indicate to me that they're not true coilovers. However, if Meister R have changed their design since then, that would explain that. I assume you have them in hand? You will need to beef up the rear subframe around the mounting points of the coilovers on the rear IF you are converting to true dual. Not something to be undertaken lightly.
  8. Either cheaper or with more grunt.
  9. It's also a lot to do with crash regs both EU and US, as they want bigger and more robust collapsible structures built into new cars these days. Tech gets smaller, cars get bigger. Sad times.
  10. They're the same as OEM, separate springs and dampers at the rear. EDIT That's not a bad thing, makes the install a hell of a lot easier!
  11. What manufacturer?
  12. Welcome to the world of VAT! Yeah, sales tax as well on top, so that depends on state.
  13. Yup. Manual starts from that price, in the US.
  14. What have you ordered? Full coilover conversion, or as per the OEM setup with separate dampers and springs at the rear?
  15. £16K.
  16. It's partly why the Zed works so well.
  17. It's cheap in Jap and US
  18. Not really, it was designed to be a cheap fun light RWD coupe. It's certainly that, people are just too lazy to use the revs for overtaking so it always feels underpowered. I just want a bit more grunt to assist with gaining speed at 6th on the motorways, that's all.
  19. It's not though, he posts loads around here, you only notice the EV posts though. This is a 350Z forum that has a section dedicated to OTHER CARS. The Tesla is another car, so it's absolutely fine to talk about it there. It would be much more helpful if we had a single thread, but it seems there's no will to sort that out.
  20. That's timed out then, assuming you are the registered keeper.
  21. For the road, all the BRZ86 needs is slightly stickier tyres and maybe another 30ft/lb in the mid-range. Power is fine, styling is fine, power delivery is fine, just wants some more shove in the middle. Of course, a performance version with an SC would be a nice option, but the car doesn't need it.
  22. If PCars is vaguely realistic, you wouldn't want to be driving one of those with lag like that, plus I think people generally want their engines to last more than an hour I know what you're getting at though, and the efficiency is definitely coming up massively these days. Sadly with everything going turbo I feel we're losing as much as we're gaining, as drivers.
  23. Same old story as with anything like this, we just don't have the infrastructure in this country, or we don't give two hoots about increasing demand on the existing. We get this all the time in the water industry and it's so frustrating. You cannot just build millions of homes and NOT upgrade the infrastructure, all it leaves you with is a much weaker backbone than what you started with. Stupid. We should ditch HS2 and plough all that money into providing fibre to EVERY corner of the country. That'd do more for the economy than being able to get to Brum 20mins quicker from London.* *I have no idea where HS2 actually goes, or if that's even close to the correct shortening of time. I just think that HS2 is a complete waste of money full stop
  24. My brother is giving serious thought to one of these, over the BMW 228/235. Tbh I think I'd also rather have the FRS over the BMW, if I wanted the practicality side of things as much as anything else. It's just a huge shame they toned the styling down so much, the mk2 FRS was absolutely perfect in that regard. Going back to the subject at hand, unfortunately it looks like we're still not able to escape the power contest yet. Every time a new car comes out it has more power than the last one, and on the odd occasion it doesn't it gets slated (FN2 CTR, I'm looking at you). It may look great on paper, and every one likes a bit more power, but it's genuinely getting to the point where usable power levels are getting harder and harder to find. We've a 400bhp Golf coming, FFS!
