  1. Not scary at all IMHO, that's precisely why nothing serious was achieved in his second term. It was all political point scoring by the Reps to not concede any of his policies, even if they were decent. Political scrutiny is all very well and good, but when it stops things being done which need to be done then it just stops the system working, and no-one wins that way. Interesting comments from everyone's favourite Labour leader today, following Trump's success: Now, whilst I don't doubt that he genuinely means well and believes in his way being the correct way, can he not see the absolute irony here? People rejected comprehensively the politics of the socialist left (as they did here last year in the GE), as well as rejecting crap economics (again, Labour) and a ridiculous political system that stops true progress being made (Brexit). The movement across the western world is moving sharply from one where everyone is expected to looks after everyone else, even if that means you lose out, to one where people are putting themselves first and foremost. You may or may not think that's a bad thing depending on your POV, but you can't deny it's happening. Essentially Corbyn is admitting that he's going to stick to his policies despite knowing he'll never ever get a shot in power, because he's preaching exactly what the majority don't want. Now granted, Hillary won the popular vote, but that's irrelevant as she lost the battle. She tried to play the game, and no-one was interested. As soon as she lost she picked her ball up and went home to sulk, leaving all her supporters stuck in a room wondering what the hell was going on. That alone shows why she wasn't getting the votes, and why people saw through her. For all her huggy-touchy rhetoric, she wouldn't have made a better president than Trump. I do feel sorry for her in that she's spent her whole life serving her country (as well as her own needs) only to lose at the final hurdle, but the more I think about this the more I think the US voting populous have made the right choice for the next four years. I'm not saying Trump is perfect, but I am saying that Hillary got what she deserved.
  2. Learn to heel and toe, much more rewarding and then you have a skill you can transfer to any vehicle It's actually very easy to do, you can pick it up quickly when you know the basic idea behind it.
  3. A good reason to buy a base spec car then
  4. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ackermann_steering_geometry But basically it's perfectly normal on road cars on wide tyres, so nothing to worry about at all.
  5. My parents are out there now. They were there for 2008 and 2012 as well, tbh they've not really noticed much difference between the two: Some people are happy, some are sad.
  6. So what are you looking at as a cost to change into a FoST/FiST? I'd seriously be considering the BRZ86 before any hatch. New, comfy, RWD, just as quick, just as fun. Price can't be a million miles off, either.

  9. He'll be fine. He's less of an interfering warmonger than Hillary is, his opening speech showed how he's going to mellow now he's actually won, much like this country the power sits with the people around the boss rather than the boss, and if not then at least he'll do stuff rather than just talk about it. I think it'll be significantly better than people fear. I agree that neither choice was great though!
  10. Loking good for Trump now then. Looks like we Brits really started something with Brexit.
  11. And now you have no idea what the code was, could've been something important. Why did you not just get it read?!
  12. Okay, so likely you've got an air leak or a broken MAF or damaged wire or knocked the throttle body, but even so it could be anything. You need to read the codes, else it's guesswork.
  13. Check the code, could be anything.
  14. http://www.eurocarparts.com/car-battery Knock yourself out. Just enter your reg then pick one within budget. More CCA = less effort the battery will exert trying to start your car (basically), but more CCA = more expensive too.
  15. I tried it, and it was very immersive but the grainy PS3-esque graphics meant I wouldn't consider it as a serious purchase. Being able to move around the batcave was probably my favourite gaming moment of the year so far though Tempted by a Vive now though.
  16. Almost too much, it's far more supportive in that area than the Sparco was. I may have to adjust that in the future, depends how I get on with it.

    Other cars

    Straightforward and to the point.
  18. It needs bodywork and wheels that fit. Until then, that's definitely not finished
  19. In the future, I would humbly suggest less haste and more speed.
  20. Managed to get a spare day to fit the new seat in yesterday. A lot more faff than I was expecting, not helped by me fitting the sliders upside down first of all ( ) but a huge difference. Interestingly the Recaro Pole Position sits a lot deeper in the seat than the Sparco Sprint, so I wasn't raised up by as much as I thought I might be once I'd put the sliders on. It rubs against the centre console as I've got the seat belt buckle on the outside of the seat (it can go inside too, the seat is recessed there specifically) as I wanted to give Jo as much room for her lady hips as possible, but a small felt pad against the buckle prevents any damage to the console. Sooooooo comfy, yet I don't feel any less supported than I did with the Sparco. It really was worth every penny. Some crap pics before and after: Sun is in totally the wrong place this morning for the Recaro pic, I'll get some better ones at some point. Looks and feels very OEM+ though, which is exactly what I was going for. Just need to save up for the other side now!
