  1. LV have pretty much stopped taking any mods on now, in the last couple of years. The Lotus guys got stung pretty badly by that.
  2. Not exactly surprising that they don't have any interest in the modified car market.
  3. So who refused to quote then?
  4. Agreed, same as any driver really. Nobody wants to be challenged by someone if they have a choice. I think the Mercedes is so good still that any driver on the grid could get a second place finish without too much bother, so they'll want someone who will stay out of trouble on the overtakes and readily accept team orders.
  5. I wouldn't be without mine. Recently switched to AXA, excellent value right now, no one else could even get close to their quote and included full cancer cover too.
  6. Jenson is too old and too rubbish for F1 now. Should've left last season. Bottas is looking more like the logical choice, sadly.
  7. I donate to a blind & FIV cat sanctuary in the States. They sent me an Xmas tree decoration this year
  8. It's true though! The Remainers are just getting whingier and more picky every day, and it's embarrassing. Whatever happened to losing with grace, then moving on and making the best of it? True British grit rather than Yankee moaning.
  9. He's more of a risk now than he was.
  10. That is the will of the people. Straight 50/50 choice, more people wanted out. Couldn't be simpler. May leads the Government, she gets to decide policy. Since when have the rest of parliament ever been given a say in what happened with regards to Europe? And yeah, if she coughs up a damp squib of an exit I'll be really annoyed, even as a Remainer, simply because it's not what was on offer. Leave should mean leave. I don't care if it's not what I voted for, it's the principle of the thing.
  11. Thanks for the swift reply, really you think it's that simple.....oh well you live and learn. Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk To an insurer, sadly it is.
  12. Yup, absolutely normal. More likely to be stolen, crashed, and will cost more to repair.
  13. Merc will want someone who will always guarantee the points, will play it safe and over team orders. They already have a race winner, they need a points winner. I'm not sure Lewis will care, as long as he has no1 status in the team. Or thinks he has.
  14. A good reason not to donate to charity. Just tell them to get lost, and that you're glad the kids are dying. Offend them so much they never call back.
  15. Shouldn't be any negotiating really. Come out, then sort out the details. We can't be out, keep access to the market and stop free movement of travel, it's irritating me that the government are even pretending we can. I'm sick of the other parties fussing and mumbling over voting about this nonsense in Parliament. I'm also sick of May not just putting out a three line whip and forcing everything through regardless.
  16. Bottas over Pascal, the latter not turning his engine off when told won't have done him any favours. Max winding up Merc on twitter something brilliant though, and Merc equally good at giving it back
  17. It was better than the steaming pile that was ep2, but again it went on too long and the joke of the exhaust wore very thin very quickly. And hahahahaha they knocked his house down oh let me grab my sides. No American though, so a winner there at least
  18. Hamilton would be mad to leave Merc right now. Unless knows that the next car will be crap, no racer would leave a winning seat. Merc will back down as they know that Hamilton is the most bankable driver on the grid by far. I expect RB to be closer next yeat but still not close enough, and I expect Ferrari to carry on going backwards while they figure out who should actually be doing what. I'd dearly love to see Max next to Lewis, the two most exciting drivers on the grid in the same car, but would Max leave RB? I don't know.
  19. Nope. As a Remainer, I refuse to be like those idiots in Scottishland who refuse to understand what a referendum result actually means. Brexit means Brexit, hard and fast. We don't get to have our cake and eat it, we leave 100% completely. We don't get to go back and argue the toss a bit more, or keep some bits and not others. We leave 100% completely, and as soon as possible. Dragging it out helps no-one.
  20. Also illegal, and will see you done for dangerous driving if caught.
  21. Alonso? Hates the McLaren, only a year or so left at the top, gives Merc a top driver, and gives them more time to woo Max. Or Vettel is another good shout. He's not happy at Ferrari, and they don't like him very much anymore either.
  22. TCS won't always save you: It can cut the power so abruptly it can pitch the car the other way, especially if you've already started trying to correct it. Good TCS is excellent, bad TCS an absolute liability. In the Zed it saved me once vs the dozens of other times I needed to make a quick getaway and it left me stranded... But yeah, for the most part it's a good thing. Fair play for trying to learn the car with it off too: It's almost better to do if this time of year as stuff happens at slower speeds, rather than in the summer when you need far more gas to get things to move. In terms of driver training, I believe that Walshy now does his Carlimits.com days up north too. I've been out with both Walshy and his mate that he ropes in, both excellent teachers as well as really good guys. I wouldn't look anywhere else tbh, and even if you have to travel to Essex it's worth every penny.
