  1. Breakups are crap regardless of who you are, or who you think you are. They're soul destroying, painful, and they leave you empty. And every single time you eventually get over it. May be a month, may be a year, but it does happen. You never forget the good times, but you do stop craving them and you end up a happier person
  2. It's going to happen, trust me on this. It always does, every single time. People very rarely end relationships just because they're unhappy, they normally do it because they've seen something better that's on the horizon.
  3. Tough luck whether she can afford it or not, she should've thought about that when asking you to take the loan out for her! You may be happy paying it now, but will you be equally happy when she's shacked up next month with some other guy banging her senseless on a regular basis? Sorry to put it so bluntly, however this is the reality of the situation and it's not a nice situation to be in. Like you say, you're liable for the loan regardless now and I'm just hoping she doesn't realise that.
  4. Probably, but not easily I don't think. Alex would be the person to ask on that. I'm not buying it, to do a full interior change plus all the exterior stuff would cost more than simply swapping the car for a different one. Not easy to do an engine swap either, as IIRC the Revup doesn't play nicely with DE electrics and vice versa.
  5. Utter shambles, all because the oil tank wasn't the right shape. McLaren really are a pack of losers now, they've made one mistake after another since Lewis won the title.
  6. I'll be amazed if it has the facelifted interior but the older DE engine. Strudel is right, check the tacho but also check and see whether the car physically bumps into the limiter at 6.5 or 7. Got any pics floating around of the car, external and internal?
  7. To clarify, are you paying for the loan in your name still, or is she paying that directly? If you're paying then you need to speak to her ASAP and get that loan paid back, or an agreement to pay you X amount per month that covers it for the duration. If she's paying it then it becomes a little less urgent, until the point she realises she can screw you by not paying it... Anything else at this point is irrelevant, the relationship is as dead as a Liverpool title challenge so it's just making sure you're not paying for her lifestyle still!
  8. Oh I'm sorry, I must've missed the part where I said it was.
  9. A reason to decrease value if ever there was one.
  10. Turbo was the exception rather than the rule back in the days of the Supra though, and you'd always pay more for the fastest version. The values of the Supra are now set, but as they never did an FI 350 then it's a non-issue. At the other end of the scale, I expect 458s to be worth significantly more than a 488 in 20 years' time. A good 430 manual may even top them both...
  11. Exactly. All cars are moving towards turbo, so the NA stuff will become desired.
  12. James Drake just confirmed this morning that Moris aren't offering track insurance this time round, which I bet is going to annoy a load of people who booked on the premise that that would be available again. Weather not looking great either right now, not even on the Saturday when I wanted to clean the car
  13. They'll never become a Jap classic in the way the 240 or R32 or Supra is, but because they have a large NA lump and a manual gearbox they'll stay desirable.
  14. 2.9 engine isn't DFI, and tbh is a little dull. Doesn't really want to rev, doesn't make a very nice noise, really not their finest hour. I'd rather have a gen1 3.4 over a gen2 2.9 if I'm honest. Gen2 cars are as likely to have bore scoring as the 350Z or GT-R is, that is to say it's not common in the slightest.
  15. EBC are fine Every other brand you mentioned is better. Make of that what you will.
  16. I hated it, then I loved it, then I hated it, then I adored it. I suspect the sequel will encourage the same emotions
  17. Most people don't care, or have wheels that are kerbed to buggery anyway so wouldn't notice. That said, the place does sound like it's staffed by idiots, so take your custom elsewhere.
  18. Runflats on the Nismo?! What the hell are Nissan thinking of, that's just bonkers.

    Tyre Road Noise

Zeds are noisy things anyway, so any extra road noise would be minimal but yes, there will be an increase. Whether you'd notice it or not is another matter entirely, it's not like Bridgestone tyres are particularly quiet! Personally I wouldn't put up with tyre roar on a daily, but on a fun car I couldn't care less as I want the tyre performance, but each to their own. As a general rule. Yokohama tyres are reasonably quiet over the range. We've just swapped from Eagle F1s to RE070s on the Impreza, quite a noticeable improvement in road noise but then the Impreza has pretty much zero sound insulation anyway so you notice these things more.
  20. Match the fronts, but assuming they're going to be changed shortly then I'd stick with the MPSS over the others. Or stay with the 050As, if you're happy with them then no real need to change (plus availability is good with them, in case of puncture etc). Def not the Pirellis though, awful things!
  21. Given that Evo stated in their test that the MPSS dry performance came 1st in the two test and the Dunlops 7th and 8th (out of 9), then it's even more clear that the MPSS would be a better choice for him. The Dunlops are an average tyre: No more, no less. If you can't get the MPS4S, then get the MPS4. They also use the multicompound design that the Cup2s use. Although I suspect at this point you've already made your mind up to use the Dunlops on cost alone and are wanting someone to validate that opinion, so I'll leave you guys to it.
  22. I can't believe you can't get MPS4S in Dubai. The country where everyone must have the latest and greatest, regardless of cost? Try contacting Michelin directly.
  23. Lol I was thinking the exact same thing, but decided against it because OP doesn't want to spend a lot on tyres
