  1. Take the badges off and wait until your insurance is up before moving though, else you'll waste the year's NCB you're on. Bear in mind that you're also uninsured whilst those badges are on, so best take them off anyway until this is sorted. Which company are we talking about btw?
  2. I've never seen the kit, but it cannot remove the MAF altogether as the engine would simply hate you and refuse to run sensibly, and possibly cause serious damage as well.
  3. The only thing that should cause a CEL with regards to the O2 sensors is not running any cats at all, as the sensors then think there's something wrong as the emissions are miles too high (which, of course, they will be!). The O2 spacers lift the sensors out of the gas flow, so that they don't see as much crap in the exhaust as they would do normally so think that the cats are still there. It's not a perfect science, but for 99% of the time they work very well.
  4. The only reason I ditched mine was for iPod connection. Other than that, I had absolutely no problem with mine sound-wise at all.

Personally I don't think it's worth it unless you get both the movie & sport packages as well, as otherwise there's just too few channels for your money. I absolutely adore mine and don't begrudge paying the money every month, for the use it gets in my house it's well worth it.
  6. Already taken by the looks of it, it loads straight to 350z-tech.
  7. Fair enough, just me being curious was all.
  8. Does this mean that the forum will be actively supporting the 370Z, rather than just take a passing interest?
  9. He's a really nice guy, he knows his stuff, he talks sense. He'll never get voted in.
  10. Eh? And there was me thinking Doric was foreign! Translation please! "Hello my good man, how are you on this fine day? My, you sure were correct about these beautiful cars being a bit quick off the mark, my monocle damn near flew out when I accelerated! I have driven up to 160mph on it which is an absolutely stupid thing to do on a public road and thus I do consider myself to be a bit of a foolish person for this act. Oh my gosh, I do believe we share a similar taste in wheels! This is terrible, and I am deeply upset as it means we cannot ever go to the same ballroom together now so I guess the days of the Tango Twosome are numbered sadly." Well, I think that's what he said anyway.
  11. Swap the stereo now before you flog the Astra, then when you come to sell the Zed you'll still have an immaculate Bose to put back and sell it with That's what I'm doing, anyway.
  12. Given that the 'facts' are still being argued about daily by everyone and anyone, I'll carry on living my life to the style to which I am accustomed. The planet was here long before I arrived, and it'll be around long after I'm gone. Selfish? Perhaps, but if the planet is already screwed then I'm going to make the most of it and go out with a bang. Same reasoning why should I ever get cancer I'll be spending my last few months on a strict diet of alcohol & hookers instead of cramped in a bed on chemotherapy.
  13. Since no-one has ever seen/heard it fitted, I don't think that's anything I'd personally consider
  14. Does Al Gore have a point? No. He's a tit of the highest order with his own political agenda, same as everyone else who jumps on the green bandwagon. Mankind has evolved for millenia to get to this stage in our evolution, and I'll be buggered if I'm going to jump back 100 years and stop using anything remotely interesting and/or that makes my life easier. See: Plastic bags and big-engined cars. Mankind always finds a way around it's problems. I say let's screw the planet up properly and let the clever boffins of the science world figure out a way to fix it later, that way we're all onto a winner.
  15. Poor car doesn't deserve things like that
  16. If you want proper quality, then you can't keep the Bose. You can use a cassette adaptor which sounds utterly useless, or you can try a stereo transmitter (I used to have the Monster one) which kept dropping signal due to the location and size of the Zed's aerial), or you can suck it up and bin the Bose for something far better. I really didn't want to get rid of mine either, but after a year of faffing around with sub-standard equipment I bought myself a nice Alpine headunit and haven't looked back since. Seriously, if you want to connect an MP3 player then do it properly, don't waste money on crap solutions like I did And welcome along! :bye:
  17. Rich, give Richard Egger a ring on Monday on 0115 985 0165, they were miles cheaper than everyone else for me (including all mods) and got 4 free trackdays a year thrown in too
  18. Only if they do it in your area, and only if you're a fraction over i.e. 34 in a 30, so either way that's a no go. 3pts makes no difference to anything matey, especially if you haven't already got any points at all. It won't effect your insurance premium (although you WILL have to tell them), and you're a mile away from a ban. It's sad, but it's true. Learnt my lesson over here a few years back now, got 3pts + £60 when I should've been looking at a ban for the speed I was doing, so promised myself I'd never get myself in that kind of position again.
  19. No copper, just make sure I know the law so I can always stay the right side of it (well, in this country at least).
  20. Indeed, also a dual carriageway is only a dual carriageway if there is a central reservation barrier, else it's just a two-lane single carriageway and the lower speed limits often apply.
  21. That'll polish out. /obvious Looking at the roof that's definitely had a roll or two, interesting how there's almost no damage to the front bumper though: Wonder what happened? Just hope that the occupants were okay.
  22. What is there to appeal against? The limit was 30mph, you were doing 42mph by your own admission, I'm not sure what the problem is? Go back and check the road for the signs and if there are none then appeal away, if the signs are there as clear as day then suck it up and take it on the chin. Tbh I'd call one ticket in 8 years pretty good going.
  23. Does it install itself for that kind of money?
  24. Focus ST is arguably more expensive to run, certainly at least as thirsty plus all those nasty turbo bits to go wrong Nope, it means you have impeccable taste in cars I love the 172/182 cars, fantastic little toys.
  25. They're as common as knock-off VS badges/kits now anyway.
