  1. No, you're an idiot if you ignore a healthy dose of scientific fact and just go with your gut. It's like believing in the tooth fairy despite the collection of old teeth gathering dust below your pillow. If anyone wants to challenge my views with some evidence of their own then fine, that's their right and I'll listen, but what I won't sit here and do is be attacked because I dared to actually post something that has some basis in theory, not just in the mind. It's the same reasoning behind why we don't really think the world was created in 6 days.
  2. If you'd care to provide a hint of evidence or scientific theory towards your assumptions then I'd be happy to have a sensible debate with you. Until that point, I see precious little point in arguing the toss with someone who sits there with blinkers on assuming that, because they've been fine running mis-matched tyres, then it must be fine. It's a shame you've had to rape the OP's thread to try and point-score against me. Why do you need to know the history of the tyres anyway? If they've got tread and no repairs or dodgy marks, then what's the worst that could be wrong with them? Honestly, it's as if you're trying to make yourself sound like an idiot. And I'm still waiting for you to find me saying previously that partworns are bad. OH LOOK YOU CAN'T
  3. Go and find a post of mine that says you can't use partworns on a car, and that any tyre should be brand new. If you can, I'll give £20 to the charity of your choice. Try actually reading what people write in the future instead of assuming. I don't ferociously attack people who disagree with me, I simply point out when people when they're being idiots, tyre-related or not. As it stands, the OP sounds perfectly sensible to me.
  4. I still want to know what's wrong with the car to make it sick.
  5. Sick? What's wrong with it?

    What Car ????

    Budget? Must haves?
  8. I really couldn't give a rat's ass anymore what tyres people run on their cars. There's a shedload of posts on here explaining in technical detail and giving examples why mixing tyres is bad, and if people are too lazy to read them or want to completely ignore any kind of sensible reasoning behind, then that's up to them. I refuse to be drawn into pointless arguments with stupid people, it's a waste of everyone's time.
  9. NECROPOSTING IS NECRO Don't be daft, no they're not.
  10. Assbro is amazing, and I think the series is rapidly becoming my favourite video game series of all time
  11. TB looks perfectly normal, give it a clean with some carb cleaner and run a can of 10K Boost through the system every ten thousand miles or so
  12. Does the RSW c/f stick on stuff relocate the hazard warning switch to somewhere more helpful than by your elbow then? ;)
  13. I'd rather pay the extra £3 a week and have the nicer interior
  14. Without trying to be facetious, am I missing something or are they just standard Rays?
  15. Can't go on strike any more, anti terrorism legislation and all that. We need to get the deficit paid off, and taxing fuel is probably the best and fairest way of doing it really. It sucks, but it's just something we've all got to suck up and get on with IMHO.
  16. Fixed
  17. That's one harsh fuel cut
  18. Sounds like two issues to me, both of which you've identified. Slipping clutch at 3rd gear sounds like it's worn and needs replacing. Clutch pedal not coming up sounds like slave/master cylinder issues, to which I'd replace both at the same time. Tbh while you're changing the clutch over you might as well put a lightened flywheel in too, makes a world of difference in a good way.
  19. Azure would be classed as a darker colour, so Blackhole will be fine
  20. Ah, got you Only reason I asked is that some TDOs and tracks are a bit funny now with regards to camera mounts, and they have to be of a certain type to be allowed on track. This varies with differing places and companies though, so I'd always check with them before going.
  21. What would you guys use? I've not found a better track tyre than the 888s (well, that will fit the Zed anyway, I don't think the A048s come in Zed sizes). They're no cheaper than the PS2s or RE050As, so I don't think cost is really an issue.
  22. Moved. Order is correct, but I'd leave 24hours between putting the wax on and then putting the Red Mist on. Lime Prime is fine for the Zed, and I use the yellow polishing pads from Megs. Tbh I'd skip the LP and use Ultimate Compound instead, but I would clay the car before doing that.
  23. Which track and which TDO are you doing it with Neil?
  24. Yup, I dropped the roof and clamped it to the windscreen frame. You could clamp it to a window, or a headrest pillar, or the rear view mirror, or just about anywhere. The GoProHD is getting some great write-ups too, mate of mine took his snowboarding this year and got some great footage.
  25. AD08 Neovas I assume? I'd still take the R888s anyday, mainly before the EU ban them in the next year or so. As long as you're not being an idiot then they're fine for everyday use as Steady Zeddy says.
