  1. I was thinking of the camber arms buddy. I haven't tried the stock adjusters but it's worth a try before i spend the money on the arms. It's just the eibach lowering springs so not too low. Thanks for the advice
  2. No i'm not talking about spacers, i have the car lowered and the camber is off so i'm going to get the eibach camber arms to adjust the camber.
  3. The time has come to replace the rear tyres but at well over £200 per tyre i want to get the camber sorted before i splash the cash as the current ones are only worn on the inside. I've decided to go for the eibach ones as i've found their products to be very good but i'm just wondering how hard/easy they are to fit? I'd like to fit them myself and then go to a tyre centre to get everything set up properly. Am i being realistic or is it all a garage job?
  4. Hey buddy good to see you on here, it was good talking to you at the pcc last week, nice to see a few members over here now.
  5. Yeah i'd say it was probably user error on my part, i had just checked the oil the day before
  6. Cheers i think that might be the problem as when i first looked under the bonnet yesterday i noticed the dip stick was sitting up about an inch.
  7. I use bilberry all the time and find it 100%.
  8. I'm looking for some advice/hints as i've had a bit of a problem today, i was on a country road and had to overtake a tractor, i dropped it into 4th gear and put the foot down, i was revving quite high but nowhere near the red line, i smelt a burning smell and looked in the rear view mirror to see loads of black smoke coming out the back. I slowed the car right down and the smoke went completely away, i got back to my house about 10mins later and there was quite a bit of oil dripping from below and splattered around the passenger inner wheel arch. I washed the car off and since then there's only been a few spots have dripped off, i'm not sure if these are new drips or are just dripping off from the original leak. I checked the oil level and topped it up as neccessary, i then took the car for a gentle drive and everything seems ok, pressure and temp was ok, no lights or fault codes on dash. I got back and put a bit of cardboard under the car and over the past hour there's been a few spots on it. The car is a 2006 uk model with 23500 miles on it.
  9. Please no, they look awful in any colour.
  10. Bilt Hamber do a good clay and you can buy it direct from them online. It's a huge bar and you only need water for a lubricant which is handy.
  11. everyone is entitled to an opinion its what makes the world tick over, where would we be if everyone did the same. i would say though that its not a flimsy design, it has better adhesion and is harder to nick than the original, i also think its a flusher fit. and offers more choice. but then i suppose i am biased at the end of the day. at the moment this is just stage 1. alot of people are holding out for the fact that we can now use it for wing badges and wheel centres, which TK don't offer. if you like the original get in touch with Envy or the chillis as they will be able to get you an original for a good price and fast delivery. It could be a case of the product looks better in real life than it does on the pictures posted, it looks more like a sticker than a proper badge but in saying that i'm looking forward to seeing the wing badges as they could look well in red with a carbon background.
  12. Hmm at the risk at upsetting a few people i honestly think it looks exactly like what it is, a cheap copy of the TK original. It looks good from a distance but the close up shots make it look flimsy and cheap.
  13. Welcome buddy, good to see more members joining up from NI.
  14. Yeah i'd agree buddy, even with the low miles it still seems quite expensive. If i were you and if you could cope without a car for a while you'd be far better selling your own private, then having a good look around. I'll give you an example of a dealer trade in, i know a guy who works in my local bmw dealers and last week a woman traded in a 645 convertible and they gave her £18,500, two days later after a full valet, it's sitting on the forecourt at £26,000.
  15. Blue velvet is a hard wax whereas the purple haze is a soft wax, so for ease of use the purple haze will be the better option. I use the blue velvet a few times a year but find that while the results are stunning, it takes a lot of effort to use so i use a soft wax to top up on a weekly/fortnightly basis.
  16. Yeah when i changed mine i was able to get it from the top but i think i took a couple of bolts out iirc. Then a few months later my indicator was flashing fast like there was a bulb out but it turned out the passenger side had loosened out of it's holder as i put it back in so when i went to take it out the bulb dropped out and rolled right to the bottom of the headlight I ended up having to remove the headlight anyway then to shake it out but the headlights are a gift to remove/replace.
  17. Awful looking. Not for me.
  18. For me it would have to be the noble with the tvr second and lotus third. Take your time and have a good go in all 3, i've driven the GTO 3R and the M400 nobles, absolutely brutal performance.
  19. Did you book online? if you don't mind how much? Was just thinking of the plane trip rather than the helicopter - get to see hoover dam, vegas and grand canyon, just doesn't stop for lunch at the canyon. IMO you're better paying the bit extra and doing the helicopter tour, the views etc you get are far superior to the plane. I went on the heli tour the 1st time i was over and loved it esp coming back down the strip at night. This time i'm thinking of hiring one of a mustang/hummer/escalade and doing the self drive tour, simply down to the fact i wanna get out and have a look about at different places but i'll still be doing a helicopter trip up and down the strip at night as i loved it last time so much.

    New mod

I actually don't notice the mesh too much in that pic but the black will look better. Simple mod that really changes the front and looks stunning
  21. I've been a couple of times and the last time i was over i seen loads of stunning Zs. I'm heading over at the start of june as well for my honeymoon, can't wait.
  22. Sad to see, definately time to hang the gloves up.
  23. Axle stands will do no problem, there's a wheel refurb place down the road from me and all the cars he does are left on axle stands for a few days and that includes the likes of porsche, ferrari, astons etc
