Chris I am sure Amanda is happy with her Biza but for the one I had it was dissapointing for £13k car? Maybe the 2 door is better handling I don't know but it's more suited to city driving I am sure. She driven the 370 yet ?

I think the are the dullest most boring car ever made - the earlier ones were better now they put on middle age spread and stuffed them full of cheap Spanish electrics! Even the T5 transporter van has been sanitised and given the same treatment - lots of owners reporting issues witht the electrics! Oh well keep Zedding folks

You sure it's not a Z? Well thats my point - the Zed pees rain onto your arm but not this bad and you can drive with the window open and not be deafened! for me Skoda are the best built VW's today - even golfs are falling apart!

The tank is in for some remedial work so they have lent me their demo Seat Ibiza !!! So following the tradition of reviewing curtosy cars thought I would jot a few words down about it. It's a citrus green lemon to be brutally honest! Brand new 1.4 16v sport model 5 door. Sport they say Sport! It couldn't pull skin off custard! I can honestly say it's one of the worst cars I have ever driven, give me a Nissan Micra instead please! There is not one thing I like about it. The styling is odd. When you open the window a bit the rain pees down not only down the door and your arm but also your face, the plastics are supplied by Fischer Price and you are tone death above 40mph due to the rumbling road noise which is amplified by the shape I think? They have the starter key slot so close to the dash you can hardly turn the key even with the wheel pulled out? The engine has no go but at least it's fairly good on juice although it's no better than my 2 tonne special at the same speeds. Its ok going round corners but feels tall so you don't get any confidence on it. The front windscreen with the daft front pillars reaching forward is like driving an MPV! The radio controls behind the wheel are in the way of the indicator stalk just above it , everytime I wanted to indicate I would hit the volume up button! Think it's been designed by committee? Really sorry if anyone has got one on the forum but for me it's a terrible biscuit tin on wheels!! One more thing the seats grip well but give you backache. The storage in the boot is average for this class of car but a high bumper waiste line doesn't help. The steering is far too light and you get no feedback at all. Damn I want my 300c back! Anyway if your in the Market or one by all means try it but there are so many better cars out there for the money. The only plus point I could find was it did look well put together even though the chosen materials are obviously done to a cost so next time someone Slags off jap interiors point them to your neatest Seat stealer! They at both different cars I can't understand you say the Rex feels like you can't overtake with it safely? Mine was excellent and it will piddle on the zed around corners in my opinion ! You need to rev it and get used to timing your driving style to the excellent engine. The mpg on a zed is only marginally better aroun town but lots better on the motorway. Don't compare them as they are totally different machines zed loads has loads of torque and lazy driving , Rex has to be worked but you will have light wrapping around you when wonud up! ( cue Lexx)

There is a FAQ section for buyers onhere but overall its a rocl solid car with very little going wrong. The Roadtax , insurance and fuel and possiblly tyres will be your biggest outlay. There are plenty of good traders on here to help out with parts so you dont need to go to Nissan for anything!

Ok so... Per month £47 Insurance £500 petrol £20 Tax Service roughly every 3 months so thats about.. £50 New Tyres on the way (rear) 2x Falkens £220 £18 Water bill for washing £5? Wax every other week (Blackfire - £38 a tub + £20 sealant) £3 pm Total: £643 Driving pleasure - Priceless! This was one of main reasons for selling really plus I was due the following before I part ex'd New tyres on rear £220 Insurance renew £578 Tax renew £245 Total Bill would have been : £1043 in 1 week! ...just too much with a little one to think about

We have been lucky in this club - people are generally well behaved and sensible - ok sometimes they get carried away on the spur of the moment but there is no excuse in putting yourself or others in danger regardless of media attention on the club. Bottom line if you want to behave like total f***t go and do it by yourself and away from anybody else - go book yourself on a track day or something!

Dont you press the lock button twice - to deactivate the internal sensor (or is my memory dim?) failing that stick soem plastic tape over the sensor!

Even though we were just over for the social side on Saturday and did'nt do the run everything was well organised and even a 10% discount for members not bad eh? Thanks to everyone who arranged this especially Colin and Dave -it was nice to still feel part of the club, even though I managed to spill my pint on my shoes and most of the pub floor!

It was nice to meet up with old friends and meet new ones, even though we did'nt go on the run for obvious reasons we had to pop over and say hi and introduce Ania to the club. So here are some pictures from Saturday and Sunday - looks like you had a great run out from the Bala and other pictures - was a bit sad really seeing you all drive off knowing I was'nt walking back to my Zed, just the barge but a good weekend just the same. Colin and Beavis hit the weather just right and the Moreton Lodge was an excellent place to stay I went mad with photos (in no particular order) sorry in advance! Saturdaty afternoon Beavis wanted to fall asleep to a Lullaby but got more than he bargained for from the room next door!!! Last minute cleaning! Safe parking away from the crowds where he can keep an eye on the beast. Chris's brand new 500 miles only 370! Dont worry its 24 degrees today in North Wales - really missed my zed but aircon in the 300 is fab Colin that is Faaaarrr too shiny! Warning to any camera packing Zed bods - put a protective filter on before Colin's pearly white burns your sensors out!
