If there is a second key does it have a different sync with immob ? Worth ringing a couple of places to see if you get the same types of responses e.g. Nissan for Zed ?

I would guess security, how do they know it is your key and vehicle ? Then they can at least say they have taken reasonable steps to ensure it was your vehicle.

Not all but some local councils but the details on their websites, so worth checking. If you have evidence of other properties of a similar / same nature to yours in the area being banded lower that would help in your appeal. From memory I think you need to appeal within a certain time period. Some councils take a sale of a property as an opportunity to re-band so you may be unfortunate and have just tripped into that if your property was borderline before. Worth appealing though, in a previous property I have personal experience of being re-banded down after an appeal.

This sounds like one of those cases, where you need something a bit older that has no value but is still well cared for. I know Martin picked up an incredible bargain but it was a Fiesta. Trouble is if you have it as a winter driver afterwards, what are you prepared to drive ? I've heard this one before in own home e.g. I can't possibly have another car under 300bhp now (having had a rather nice bi-Turbo'd Audi). Trouble with 1k is that the little run arounds that are good don't drop below 2k really, so bigger is better from that point of view, especially if a bit of a gas guzzler at the moment.

Quick short list that seems most common: Clicking rear axle, Bose CD skipping. I'm sure others will chip in with links etc. to help as well. Best of luck !
