So... is doing something like this a feasible option to make my exhaust louder then? I've been toying with getting an aftermarket exhaust for a while as i just want it to be loud - im not fussed about performance - if anything, i'll be better off if it slows me down There is a very reputable exhaust company in Macc where im from, and i'd happily let them mess around with my pipes (!) but im worried about long term damage, and if it will affect emissions when it comes to MOT time...

Hi bud, £7-8k will get you a perfect motor. Mine is an import, with non-leather seats, and it had 35k on the clock when i got it (now 50k). And i'd say its probably in the £7-8k bracket now, but its a minter, and i'd happily buy it again

I'd agree with Mike - pads probably need changing. Mine squeeled like mad until i found out that it does that when the pads need changing.

Good point on the insurance - get that checked out bud... I had to delay getting mine by about 7 months as i couldnt find anyone to insure me at a sensible price... they were all quoting £3.5k but i eventually found someone who insured me for £2550 But im laughing now - i was 25 a couple of months ago - and it came right down to £800
