What is a 3rd yr service, a p1, P2 or p3? If its only a P1, then it is a bit overpriced seeing as you're up north, but if its p2 or p3 it sounds like a good deal. For reference i got a P3 at ashton in manchester for £220, but that is the cheapest (and one of the best) places around.

Altering the width will affect the height of the tyre, thus affecting the rolling radius, and then causing very annoying TCS problems. So i'd definitely stick with the standard sizes.
