  1. I've PM'd Boycey above to see if he has any fitted pics yet...
  2. Well my day of free stuff continues... I've got about 18months worth of clubcard vouchers i havent redeemed yet, and tesco are reducing their reward rates on 6th Dec, so i decided to redeem some of them tonight... So i've just spent £42.50 in clubcard vouchers, which pays for me to go on a supercar experience day and drive 2 cars of my choice for 4 laps each, and this is worth £170! So i have to ring to book the track day when i receive the vouchers, but im going to request the GTR and the Lambo for my choice of cars... Not bad for free... again!
  3. Probably not that interesting to most, but i've saved myself 80quid today! 1. Logged into my AA credit card account online, and noticed that i had a stack of reward points, which i must have earned with a special offer or something, or by mistake, as i havent used it that much... anyway, after looking what i was entitled to, i got a Sat Nav unit worth £60 for free...! (Binatone F350). Im very happy with this, as i literally nearly bought this sat nav 2 weeks ago, but thought i'd wait till after xmas to see if i could get one in the sales! 2. I have my MOT due on my BMW this month, and i needed a few parts for it - so ordered £100's worth of kit from eurocarparts... got onto the checkout page and it had one of those 'Enter your coupon code here' boxes... so i spent 10mins googling it, and found a 20% discount voucher which was supposed to run out in November... gave it a try and it worked!! So saved myself another £20! If anyone's interested, the voucher code was ECPSAVE20, and its free delivery aswell. They sell all sorts of tools and workshop gear too, and i think car cleaning stuff also.
  4. Yeh i always wondered what that was too...
  5. Loved this guy when i was growing up... RIP legend.
  6. Didn`t Marzman put one on his JDM Auto? Or am I just making it up again You're right mate - i did. Although i made it from scratch and designed the circuit/switches myself etc! An OEM looking paddle shift kit can be bought for around £400 and it is easy to fit - its called the Works Bell Column Shifter Kit.
  7. I like the reading apps when i have 5 mins spare, so Sky News Discovery News MTV News Sickipedia (awesome!!!!) Facebook Tiger Woods golf TV Guide Tune In Radio Epic Fail Shazam Skype iDaft is good Pic2Shop But best of all is the website iphone.tvcatchup.com which allows you to watch freeview for free. You can save the url to your screen and it appears as an App.
  8. Yeh looks like the same as what im looking at...
  9. The ones im looking at allow you to purchase for 5% down, and you own 100% of the house - but have to pay back the 15% loan they give you within a certain time. And even if they do change some interest on the loan, i should be better off paying that rather than the £600pcm in rent i pay now, for which im getting nothing in return.
  10. Hi all, Okay, as some of you know, i've had a tough year, with my fiance and i in an expensive legal fight to keep her in the country (she's african), during which time she was not allowed to work. Anyway - the case was resolved last week, and she can now stay permanently, and return to work. So, we can finally get our lives on track and start thinking about buying our first home (not that we can get a joint mortgage). Unfortunately after the legal bills, we've been left with nothing and have to start saving for a deposit... but i cant be arsed...!! To get a good sized house i need a deposit of £20k which will take us a good 3 years to save, during which time i will have wasted another £20k on rent So - can anyone advise on what options thre are for first time buyers like us? Any help would be much appreciated...! (and thanks to Sarnie for some advice already ) I've just been reading about 'Shared Equity'... can anyone advice on pros/cons? (and does it even exist anymore?) Are there any other schemes like this?
  11. Here's mine from last year... not done one this year...
  12. Cheers all... Will try out Admiral and Morethan. I got an e46 323 Coupe in August as i couldnt bare the fiesta anymore.
  13. Hey all... Im just trying to get a quote for my 3-series beemer, and i cant get any decent prices. Cheapest i can find is £857 with Swift Cover for: 27yrs Old 6 Years NCB 25k business miles Legal cover Courtesy car and Protected No Claims I've been on the following sites: GoCompare Aviva DirectLine ComparetheMarket Confused.com Frankly i think £857 is a ridiculous price - i paid less for my zed last year! Anyway - i've just seen that the Protected No Claims is a £112 option! Is it really worth that? What would happen if i made a claim - my premium would go up anyway surely wouldnt it? Any thoughts on protected no claims - whether its worth it or not?
  14. I read on the news today about a firm that provides accounting services on a small scale, for a cheap price... and it won New business of the year - thought they sounded good. http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Busine ... rs_Winners

  17. Dont know about the revs, but the speed you need the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) wire. viewtopic.php?f=35&t=18962
  18. Ooh feel for you mate. I had spinal surgery in 08. Didnt have the titanium discs though as they said i was too young (24 at the time), so i had a Wallis Ligament procedure. Still had to cut a massive hole in my back for it! Anyway - they absolute key thing to recover is you NEED physio, and lots of it. As they've sliced into your back, you have no muscle control there, so your body doesnt hold your spine in place, meanning the pain will soon return...! PM me if you need any advice on it mate, as i've been through all this and i know its no fun!
  19. lol, good luck changing a headlight bulb on the zed at the side of the road... it's a bumper off job.
