  1. +1. Driving style, throttle controller, and a remap. And make sure your tyres are correctly inflated.
  2. Hi all... Well after being forced to sell my zed last year i have been deliberating for the last 3 months on whether to get another one, or get a sensible diesel. Well, i've finally made the decision and im going to get another zed So, im not ready for one yet (Need the missus to go back to full time work - she's only temping at the moment), but when she's sorted i will be looking to get one asap. My only requirements are that it is azure, has brembos, cruise control, less than 75k miles, and is under £10k. Id ideally like something already modified (so i dont have to start all over again!), but that would be a bonus. I'd prefer an import/automatic, but the chances of finding this spec is very slim So if anyone's thinking of selling soon please keep me in mind - i'd be willing to travel for the right car too.
  3. These are my favourite wheels, but why get them in 20"? I personally think 20's look a bit daft, they make the car look like a roller skate! Also, be prepared for them to wreck how your car handles... i went from 17's to 19's on my zed, but pretty soon swaped back to the 17's, as you lose all accuracy on the steering, and they basically ruin the sporty feeling of the car...
  4. Welcome back dude, although you should think twice before parting with the cash for that car - its covered in rust
  5. Nice work mate, love reading stuff like this...
  6. Well its sat there waiting to go up for sale Very tempting, but way above my budget... im looking to spend about £600...
  7. Bargain price mate... GLWS
  8. Nice and tidy. I want one of these for drifting in..
  9. D2R mate.
  10. Good find col, that looks like it'll do the trick.
  11. Massive +1. I go and watch United when i can (about 5 times a season), regardless of whether its on tv or not. But it annoys the hell out of me that i cant watch them on tv when they have a 3pm kick off. What absolute bollocks. My Dad lives in the states, and he gets to watch it on tv over there - its a joke.
  12. Nice one Jay, looks good. Looking forward to see it.
  13. Fantastic garage. Great price too.
  14. Isnt LUST the official Nissan UK press car?
  15. I had 8300k bulbs which were perfectly white, and looked really good. I paid £27 for the pair on ebay. Bargain.
  16. I had my zed when i was 23/24.... and it cost me £2550 to insure. Then when i turned 25, it dropped down to £700. So 25 does still have an impact!
  17. Could it be the seatbelt bracket? Mine used to squeak there....
  18. Quality!
  19. +1.
  20. I was trying my best to get the figures to look appealing for a zed, but at the current fuel prices and with my mileage, it was gonna be £140 extra in fuel alone each month... £35 a week for a zed? Not too bad when you put it like that, but it is a waste of money really!
  21. See - this is the other problem... i dont really want to spend £15k on a diesel when i can buy a zed for £9k instead...leaving me £6k to spend on fuel..
  22. Hi all... What are the top 10 fastest/most fun to drive diesels on sale in the UK? My ideal car would be a BMW 635d, but these are close to £30k... My budget is basically as cheap as possible, but upto £15k Basically, I want a zed that does 50mpg, but this doesnt exist... so i need a close alternative. Discuss...!
  23. Club MSV operate all 'official' public track experiences at many UK racing circuits. However Oulton Park sublet the drift track to Driftone, which is what you saw. Check out this site: http://www.clubmsv.com/car-home/drifting.aspx You will be totally fine in your car, and you get free instruction too. It doesnt touch your tyres as its a special drifting circuit with a high glass content, polished tarmac.
  24. Exactly right. In 3 years of zed ownership, and having owned all RWD cars bar 2 in my life, i have honestly to date never 'lost' the back end. If it is damp or wet, you have to respect the road and understand the balance of your car etc. You must feather the throttle and feel the role that inertia plays when cornering.
