  1. Claims loss ratios for the unemployed are higher than those in employment, that's all.
  2. As with most insurance peculiarities, this will be statistically driven.
  3. whats PNE ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk A lesser known Northern football team.
  4. I KNEW it!! Can you divide mine by 7 though, please? Your random number selection wasn't quite as good as another's today. I'll PM you
  5. Indeed. A good, padded, motorsport cage may be not so much of an issue.. some of these cosmetic 'show' cages or roll over hoops on the other hand..
  6. If insurers were seeing less claims or lower value claims when cars are fitted with roll cages, you would see a decrease for fitting it, the fact is, insurers do not.
  7. Copy and paste over from another forum: And when the 'caged car is crashed, the cage spreads the energy of the collision around the chassis resulting in more damage, therefore increased repair costs to the insurer, not to mention PI claims from body parts connecting with the cage.
  8. Ok, I admit it, we use a big tombola we keep in the corner of the office.. spin it, get a number, double it, divide by 6 and bob's your father's sister
  9. 6 month policies do not exist, you'd be better off with a 12 month limited mileage policy. If you are looking at the cancel after 6 months option, look carefully at that refund you will get back when cancelling, especially if paying via a credit agency. Like most contracts, you are likely to be penalised for ending early.. most insurance contracts are not on a pay as you go basis. Thanks Ollie Sky Insurance Tel: 01707 642552
  10. What other people pay will not help you, the price they pay is based on the risk they present. Ollie Sky Insurance
  11. As far as we're concerned, a remap is a remap. We may ask for customer's view on BHP increases but you have to take these views (no offence intended) with a pinch of salt. Eg, I've done this remap only to increase fuel economy.. or I've fitted this 100 shot of NOS but I promise not to use it on the road etc Some insurers ask for BHP increases and base the premium on these, I find this a little backward personally, are they going to rolling road the car to check the BHP increase when it's stuck halfway up a tree after an RTA?! 12. That's the one that made me laugh. "I know karate" ~ "You f**kin' what?!!" Went a bit down hill after that one though, still, worth a watch!
  13. Its the same with many, many industries. Breakdown cover, mobile phone companies, broadband providers, double glazing, car dealerships etc etc
  14. Hi, I am sorry you feel you had a bad experience when using us. We'll take the positive and negative experiences of our customers and deal with any issues which we feel need to be ironed out. Thanks and best wishes Ollie Sky Insurance
  15. Thanks Mack, good to hear and thanks for taking the time out to leave this feedback for us, I have passed this on to Sam. If you have any mid policy queries, feel free to PM me at any time. If you are a Facebook user, please give us a like! FACEBOOK
  16. Find me an insurer who doesn't have bad reviews.. Again, Markerstudy take large volumes of specialist vehicles from us each year and claims go through without issue. The reviews sites you are reading, take them with a large pinch of salt. Where are the good reviews for the 99.9%of claims which go through without issue? It is also worth noting that we deal with the specialist arm of Markerstudy private car and if there are claim issues (and we support the customer's viewpoint) we will step in and help, Thanks
  17. Hi, Chaucer are very good indeed, in my opinion they are the best insurer for the type of vehicles we drive. I appreciate you feel you had issues but from our perspective, they take £millions of business from us year in year out, it is very rare we have any claim issues. Of course you will judge on your experience and opinion but I would have no hesitation in recommending Chaucer, in fact I insure both of my cars with them. Thanks Ollie Sky Insurance Tel: 01707 642552
  18. Tricky call to your friend I bet!
  19. I do not know anything about your risk to comment on the price but it is worth speaking to the affiliated club insurers to compare against the quotations/renewal you are receiving.
  20. Depends on the level of cover.
