  2. I concur, I'm surprised they matched an online provider though.. I would imagine the A Plan policy would have had more benefits than the online provider. Ollie Sky Insurance Tel: 01707 642552 http://www.skyinsura...-insurance.html

  7. Wow. £3000 excess is completely and utterly ridiculous. Will you have that £3k available if you have a claim? Keep shopping. Ollie Sky Insurance Tel: 01707 642552 http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/car-club-insurance.html
  8. No, insure the car correctly. PS, an awful lot of people no longer have DOC on their policies. Do not assume you have it.
  9. Hi Will, feel free to PM me your details and I will have a look at your renewal. Thanks Ollie Sky Insurance Tel: 03303 331250 http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/car-club-insurance.html
  10. There's two sides to that though, you guys usually just see the bare-bones (prices). We work with a 70% average monthly renewal retention rate, we offer the best prices we can find at renewal but the thing that most people miss is that this is a cut-throat industry, there are often insurer who will undercut our rates to secure the business. That doesn't mean our rate is wrong or we are trying to take anyone for a ride but that is the common accusation. We often refer renewal rates back to our insurers at renewal state if our rates are undercut and quite often these rates (if like for like) are matched. This is as much as we can do in this situation.
  11. Perhaps it would be a good idea to include the affiliated club insurers? Ollie Sky Insurance Tel: 03303 331250
  12. Yes indeed, ownership makes a good difference to risk.
  13. Prices which are that much cheaper than everyone else are usually wrong.. it could even potentially be with a bogus insurer, I've seen it before!
  14. I find that statement worrying... Ollie
  15. Has anyone mentioned insurance yet?

  17. Yes, any change made from original factory spec needs to be disclosed *awaits 'hilarious' sarcastic comments about disclosing air fresheners * http://www.skyinsura...-insurance.html Hi Do i need to call sky insurance if i decide to change things like the stubby arial, (currently a rather odd bronze colour) or the gear knob as there both a bit tatty. Thanks Yes indeed you do, they will not effect your premium but both need to be declared, you are very welcome to PM me and I will note your file. Thank you
  18. Glad we could help, the thing is with the K&N, although some will advise you it's such a small modification there is no point in declaring it, an insurer would be within their right to dispute a claim or ask for an additional premium to proceed with the claim but a point that most people disregard, you have a claim without the modification non-disclosed and you have a big worry on your hands whilst your insurers deal with it, will they find it? Will they void the claim? Much easier just to declare it and find a modification friendly insurer. Ollie Sky Insurance http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/modified-car-insurance.html

  20. Tracker or spy box? Either way, shop around.
  21. With the right insurer, it isn't an issue. When it comes to insurance, 'they'd never know' can end in disaster. Ollie Sky Insurance
  22. Be careful with that, an awful lot of insurers will not recognise the '10 month NCB' . Ollie Sky Insurance http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/car-club-insurance.html
  23. Good on you, I'll offer this advice when I see others in the same situation.
