  1. Make sure you guys try the club insurers!
  2. Sky Insurance once has a customer who caused a £100,000+ payout, if insurers were giving money back for people who didn't claim, how would they pay out for the people that did? * I appreciate your comment is probably tongue in cheek *
  3. With most specialists insurers it shouldn't make any difference..
  4. You need to pick your insurer a little more wisely.
  5. ^ Hi, hard to say if we can beat it without running through the details with you on the phone. Yes in some cases we are now offering multicar policies. Feel free to PM me your contact details and i can arrange a call back for you, alternatively please phone us on 02083645500. Thanks
  6. Dont forget there are two club insurance providers!
  7. Sounds bizarre to me and also something not required by my company.
  8. 20 year old, 0 years NCB (I assume), one claim already, high performance car = accident waiting to happen. The high insurance quotes are justified, look at it from an insurance company perspective, this guy is pretty likely to have a claim which is likely to cost the insurance company more than the premium they take. And no, we cannot help with this one.
  9. Hi, it is well worth trying my company on 02083645500 Thanks
  10. I'm not due for renewal for some time yet, but for information purposes, would you insure a 24-yr old with the Z? yes, we'll certainly look at this one for you
  11. And make sure you try Sky Insurance, we offer a discount to members of this club and we specialise in modified cars. tel: 02083645500
  12. personally speaking, I would speak to an insurance specialist for a car like the 350Z. Whilst not meaning to knock price comparison sites as they are good for some things, they are set up for standard UK cars. Ollie Sky Insurance
  13. No it's fine, I wasn't aiming that at you directly. A lot of people think that the database is updated immediately but it takes an average of 5 working days. Cheers Ollie Sky Insurance
  14. Bare in mind that it can take 10 days for the car to show up on the insurance database
  15. It will make make a huge difference, just like a super or turbo conversion would. Coupled with the fact that you are carrying some highly flammable gas and the fact that it gives a huge boost of power in one go usually. A lot of insurers would even touch you once you mention NOS fitted, for road use or not. If you have undisclosed NOS on the car and claim, yes it is very unlikely that the claim would not go through and you would probably be refused cover, which is about as bad as it gets.
  16. Unfortunately there are very few companies out there that offer cover for NOS equipped cars.. Flux would have also been my suggestion , they pretty much have the market sown up!
  17. My company can also mirror NCB. Feel free to call us on 0208 3645500 or drop me a PM with your name and phone number and I can arrange a call back for you. regards Ollie Sky Insurance
  18. No problem here either, in fact this is what we specialise in
  19. It really works both ways though.. some insurers will view the driver of the modified car as a better insurance risk as he or she is enthusiastic about the car, has spent money on it so is less likely to drive like an idiot. This theory also works for car club members, anyone who takes the time to join and participate in a car club is more likely to be enthusiastic about the car, will look after it so is therefore less of an insurance risk. Our claims stats prove this is the case for most vehicles we insure, hence why we offer a discount to club members Ollie Sky Insurance
  20. As above, it all depends on your insurer. Some insurers wont allow mods, some will charge ridiculous amounts for adding mods, some will know what they are doing and will charge appropriately. Most specialist wont charge for costmetic changes but you may get a small load on the premium for induction kit, exhausts etc
  21. Have you tried my company? Your occupation shouldn't be a problem for us. Also, I know some of the replies on this thread were tongue in cheek but it is not a good idea to lie about anything, especially occupation when it comes to insurance. I'll PM you now. Thanks Ollie Sky Insurance
