  1. Its one from you Phil - with the Nismo exhaust last month. Was waiting to get them all on before doing a write up. Flywheel is ACT ProStreet
  2. Hi everyone, so today was the day the new clutch and flywheel went on. Collected it tonight - new flywheel brilliant, loving the improvement, then disaster. Pulling away from low revs in any gear [e.g. 3rd at 30 mph] the clutch sounds like its rattling itself to bits! Basically like two pieces of metal are being ground together until the revs get above 2,500 and it dissapears. Now I know the release bearing is a common cause for things like this, but this is really loud. Spoke to the garage and they suggested it needed bedding in to be fair they are a nice bunch of guys so will be back to see them tomorrow morning first thing. Does anyone know what needs to be done to fix the problem as I dont want the garage to have the car for days on end figuring it out. Any help much appreciated!
  3. Tricky, I got mine fixed under warantee but i dont know if it was a replacement of parts or a re-grease, pretty furious if its the latter and they come back!
  4. Yep - I have this. Mine is a 2004 with 40k miles. It has been doing it for the last 5k miles and doesnt seem to be getting worse. To be on the safe side I am getting a new clutch and ACT flywheel fitted tomorrow Will report back after the weekend

    What MPG???

That is quality economy! Question is, when did you reset the trip computer? Was it when you were already on the move or at the start of the journey?

    The ring

Anywhere near to 9 minutes is a good effort - so much depends on traffic though. Always good to put the wind up a lot of far less committed M3's!
  7. Thanks Stew - rubbish when work gets in the way Cheers

    New 240SX

That 240 is amazing, spend a good 20 minutes admiring it while waiting for my last service. Probably more rare than a MK1 E-Type...and a lot more reliable!
  12. Whoever did that work would be laughing all the way to the bank! A fool and his money.... What I find a amusing is that the race seats have been raised from normal position, brilliant for taking up loads of room and raising the already high centre of gravity! All those nasty mods - probably cant go above 50 without stuff falling off!
  13. Spotted 3 coupes at Brands this Sunday for the A1GP...all parked in the paddock field. Hope you enjoyed a quality days racing!
  14. Marks for effort! Not really a fan of snow parks, but in a rally car - Awesome!
  15. Looks cool - out of interest, whats the going rate for powder coating?
  16. adding my girlfriend took nearly £300 off my insurance on the Zed. She is younger than me too....dont read into it;) Was proper chuffed when I did it. Believe it is just mitigating the 'risk' over the same number of insured miles. Definately worth a try even if it just means putting on a friend [whether they know or otherwise]
  17. Stew - pm'd my order Been spending a lot of time checking out detailing world - cant wait for summer to finally arrive! cheers for organising

  20. Surfing round DetailingWorld and someone has done a great job to their P1 with this stuff: ---typically cant find the detailing world specific link! --- http://www.drcolorchip.com/ Think I will get some and report back in a few weeks
  21. Hi, Having installed my induction kit, I have this panel filter spare. I put it in to give better filtration and breathing vs the standard fit paper filter. It was in for about 1,800 miles over 3 months and I believe these are designed for c.100,000 mile life. I don't have its box but will post in a padded envelope. Looking for £15 +P&P, drop me a PM if you fancy it, otherwise its one for ebay. Cheers Ian
