  1. As if you have not posted the one I made hahha. Beat these guys to it and it's British!!!! Lol
  2. Shorter fd is a good idea na but not for boosted guys. Also think about how quickly you can change gear? If your drag racing you'll end up with another gear change that may make you slower??
  3. 29 and had my zed for almost 10 years!!
  4. Bennet Im still after a poly gearbox bush and New LSD over winter. If you about I would love a ride in your beast!
  5. Hi mate, I have not had the car corner weighted yet but i see what you mean regarding battery placement. My thinking was getting weight over the back axle and keeping it neutral for the time being.
  6. Ill try and answer any of your questions guys! I would say Go DJI ronin or Ronin M or Movi, I have had these and they work very well. I have had others that did not perform and caused issues. I did build a 2 axis system a few years back along with a later 3 axis system but there were never 100% spot on
  7. Nice to see chris harris test vs the one I filmed Good to see the P1 take the best lap time as we got so many people telling us we faked the results of ours as most tests have the 918 coming out on top!!
  8. LOL... Didn't exactly get to spank it but just round the pits and roads was good enough for me!
  9. Connected up now! (No where sold ring crimp connectors for this size cable! Ended up being ripped off for gold plated subwoofer ones from ripspeed ) Covers back on. All sorted in the boot now too!
  10. This was epic for me Getting to drive it was just insane lol..
  11. Both are incredible cars! Im quite luck to say i have been in all the big three recently (Laf,P1,918) and the Laf just has the edge for me Even if it is the slowest
  12. It was only the head unit/amp and door speakers left anyway! Not i have the intercom that you can plug an iPod into then its not really needed now!
  13. I want to get the car weighed accurately as its had loads of bits changed and removed but has extra weight from TT kit and cage??
  14. Ill weigh some of the other bits that have come out too mate, only some light parts but still counts. Will remove door speakers tomorrow to save another kg or so Next big saving will be the passenger seat i think. Weight balance will be better now as I have lost 16.3kg of battery plus 6kg's of head unit etc, so 22kg ish from the front end today and gained the extra 16kgs way out over the back axle.
  15. Little more done on the lightweight zed quest.. Dash centre removed. Passenger side airbag cover removed. Air bag unit. Air bag and mounts on passenger side plus head unit and brackets removed and dash refitted. Dash where head unit is removed will be blanked off with carbon fibre sheet. The head unit and air bag set up have removed more weight from high up and in the front end of the car. plus my battery relocation has helped this massively. Air bag unit head unit. Bose amp. Sound deadening from rear quarters X 2 Rear bulkhead plastics. weight removed = 9.470KG
  16. Started a little work on the zed this afternoon.. Looking at mounting the battery holder.. Battery removed and trim off... Heavy duty cable run through bulk head grommet.. Into the car. Fed though into the boot area. Alu holder drilled ready for riveting. Car drilled and single rivet in.. Painted the holes just for extra rust protection. In place. Battery in place but not fixed down.. More work on this tomorrow when its light again
  17. Few new bits for the zed today! Anti-sub strap for my 4 point harness to go tot 5 point. Light weight alu battery holder. Extra heavy duty battery and ground cable. Brake caliper temp strips. (See if I'm over heating the Motul brake fluid) Carbon sheet for blanking off the bose head unit space And a TRS soft tow strap for the rear to match the front.
  18. Thanks mate TC MEDIA is coming on well!
  19. Have a chat with I4N (Ian) he had the same problem and solved it. Thanks mate, Ive seen where its leaking in from now. Need to have a good look under the dash to sort it
  20. Fitted my headset hooks Nice and out the way now when not using them
  21. Very fun.. Just been out sliding about in it
  22. Just a quick one guys, A few days ago I noticed the windscreen steaming up which was strange and found the pax footwell mat wet! So wet when i picked the floor mat up and held it vertical water ran out the bottom edge of it! I assumed a bottle of water must have had the cap lose.... Ive dried the floor mat out and again today its damp again? I've only just noticed this so not had time to see if I can find where its coming from yet. Has this happened to anyone else?? Thanks
