  1. I would not like to run my seats in a daily car. Amazing or feeling and support but high sided fixed back seats are a pain. If its in a car you use on weekends or want that event of driving feeling then great, not for popping the shops in.
  2. As the title states, i have a set of stop tech two piece rotors and I would say I'm gonna need new discs soon so i have been looking for links to buy just the cast iron part of the friction surfaces. Thanks.
  3. You will only really benefit from more traction if your already spinning one wheel up mate. Diff will help the handling but for out right rear end grip tire size (width and side wall hight) will have more of an impact along with geo.
  4. My oil cooler is set up as a feed from the pump via oil cooler to motor on a thermostat and then back to sump. Oil temps should be between 75C and around 110-115C may be 120c on track but much higher than this can damage the oil.
  5. Hi Bennett! Yeah I wish I went full cage mate. At the time I didn't think the car would go this mad. Full cage would be a better option. I may still end up fully caged but it just makes it harder to fit with the rear welded in. Have you got your full cage in now??
  6. Took the duck tape off the eyebrows this morning and started to clean up the mess lol.. The tape had left a ton of sticky crap on the brows and the lights so too a while but they look cool! IMHO anyway Gave the cars a quick snow foam too All cleaned off.
  7. LOL.. I remember the rear end work taking ages and being hard work but that was few years back and I just forgot how much work was involved lol.. I just started this project thinking "ah it can't take that long"... Oh well I have done a few more hours cleaning the seam sealer from the passenger footwell today and thats looking a lot neater now. Almost ready for paint. Next job was to fit my carbon headlight eyebrows... These are well known to add huge front end grip and unto 65BHP in the right set up before Passenger side front corner does not want to stay down unfortunalty. This may lift up over night Both sides duck taped down to set. Left now to set over night.. Fingers crossed the look OK.
  8. Nice build thread! I have managed to miss this one too!! Love the nissan wheel retrim! Whats the plans for the car next man?
  9. I was thinking about stripping the car for a while. Its been fully stripped the back end for years but the front was still almost fully stock. Im kind of going half way as I'm painting the floor and still running full dash and trans tunnel plastics etc to keep it looking nice Its a fair amount louder now! You can hear the BOV clearly now! Brake leader was from machine mart I think! Works very well but you need to keep pumping to maintain a decent vacuum.
  10. Update More tar removed from the floor and added to the new bag (I did give up and use the hoover for the dust so I would think i need to add on a few hundred grams for small bits i sucked up) Last bit of boot trim removed. Removed part of the bulk head rock wool. Small pile of parts that have come out (rear washer jet hose, brakes and bose bits that were unused) Cleaned up the seam sealer more with a wire brush on a drill. Still not 100% but i will do the rest in the prep for painting the floor. Diver seat back in for now! Passenger side still needs a while longer getting all the seam sealer out but my back has given up hunching over the footwells! lol.. TOTAL WEIGHT REMOVED SO FAR = 25.47KG
  11. Update I took some measurements on my wing angle to see where I'm at. (APR has wing angle and drag vs. downforce on there website so i know its not the same wing but the megan is a copy of a APR wing profile so I'm using these as rough guides) Straight edge on the wing sides (steepest AoA) Used my phone for angle readings. Wing center has the lowest AoA but receives downward air flow that follows the roof line so actual AoA is higher. Angle
  12. Just been having a think of the action plan for the zed for 2015/16.... DONE!! 4, Replace driver seat with a fixed back bucket seat DONE!! 5, Rear camber /toe arms to help get some power down and sort out the huge wheel spin 6, Fit C west carbon canards DONE 7, Get Kw's ride hight set up and car aligned/Corner balanced 8, Flock dash and trans tunnel 9, Get out and enjoy the car more in 2015!!! DONE 10, Get new passenger seat + Fit (2016) 11, Fit R888 tires (2016) 12, Continue lightening the car (2016) 13, Get KAZZ LSD + Fit (2016) 14, Possible new clutch/flywheel (2017) 15, Forge turbo actuators (2017) 16, Remap/syvecs (2017) 17, Cut down wiring harness in cabin (2016) Just thought id get my goals down on here to force me to do it lol..
  13. Progress update More work on the passenger footwell. More degreasing The new bag of sound deadener. TOTAL REMOVED SO FAR = 23.25KG
  14. What's happening to your car grundy??
  15. Ok thanks guys, I only based the "it looks weak" of the look of the design. the fact it only uses a small Alu tube to brace the trans tunnel just looked weaker than the nissan unit. I may get one and see what its like.
  16. More work today I have adjusted the wing to a more aggressive angle of attack. Some degreaser on the footwell removing last bits or tar More tar deadener out the passenger side well added to the grown bag of crap Also decided to ditch the inner boot hatch plastics. Its slow still progressing shame i don't have more time to work on it. TOTAL REMOVED SO FAR = 22.65KG
  17. Does any one else think the aftermarket one looks weaker than the OEM? I want to sort mine but the after market may be lighter but its design looks like it will flex more??
  18. Im very tempted by lean front windows with sliders at the moment. About half the weight of glass and about the same price as buying new window motors?? Plus I can rip out the winder motors guides and inner door plate? Thats gonna save about 4-5KG a door I would think Any one have experience with lexan windows?? Jez from horsham dev??
  19. More graft for an hour tonight after 12hrs in work Working hard in the dark This it total deadener removed so far 1.4KG extra tonight from drivers footwell and some trans tunnel stuff. Nasty stuff. TOTAL SO FAR 20.3KG
  20. I have not cleaned up the mess yet so nothing to weigh at the moment ether
  21. Small amount done today as i could only spare about an hour and half. Made a start on removing the tar deadener with out dry ice. Before on driver footwell. During.. I did get most of it off but didn't get pic. Its taken just over an hour to get to this sort of state, its actually coming off better than the boot did so not too time consuming lol.. Ive also had a new bit of carbon through the post off tarmac sportz thats not really a peformance mod but I just want to jazz up the old OEM zed headlights.
  22. Can't wait to see more pics!! Get posting progress pics man.
  23. Just get dry ice mate, I spent ages cleaning the boot area which would have taken only a few hours with ice If you doing a full car don't do it with out ice, I just have a small ish section left so was debating if it would be worth the 1 hour round trip plus extra cost to get these last bits off?? I still may do it but Im not sure yet. Wish i have a total weight for the tar in the boot and arches I just guessed when it was in a bucket years ago lol
  24. I can't wait to see what it weights man, Im just gonna take out what weight I can and then corner balance and get ride hight set up with some rake front to rear as its miles away ATM. And no I'm only 6' 2/3" hahah could easy do with 10KG off me! lol
