what utter rubbish ! that is probably the most insulting and stupidest comment I have read on the forum or any forum, nearly all modern day bmw's have a similar feel to them, as do audi ( not sure about the R8) OK, so Ive driven a 1M, M135i, 123d, E36/E46/E92 M3, E36 328i, E46 330D (estate and saloon), E92 335i, E39 M5 and E38 740i in the last 12 months or so, and you know what? Every single one of them is different to the point I could probably guess which I was driving if I was blindfolded (might crash a bit though), to generalise and say you dont like any is actually utter rubbish, not what Ive just posted. I have also driven , 1,3,5 series and m3 extensively and worked on most, they are great cars but I dont like them, I dont know why, they do everything very well and that was my point but you're insulting pompous reply was not needed

agreed but no one has said that, they have said they dont like the cars not the badge

what utter rubbish ! that is probably the most insulting and stupidest comment I have read on the forum or any forum, nearly all modern day bmw's have a similar feel to them, as do audi ( not sure about the R8) so if someone says they dont like Ford, you would consider them not to like the Anglia or Zephyr or would you be sensible and think they are talking about the current range that has been available for the last 10 yrs post you're opinion about cars by all means but not about people who you know nothing about ! otherwise it's too personal

This subject genuinely interests me as i am in exactly the same camp as you, i have absolutely no doubt the Cayman is the better car, infact any Porsche i have been in and or driven is a great drive, but they do absolutely nothing for me, curious as to why as even i have no idea Just one of those things, I am the same with bmw's ... Great cars but do nothing for me at all, my son has just bought 335d coupe, lovely car but not for me, couldn't say why though, yes I've driven m3's etc and felt the same

This is mad, it's a no fault, no cost claim !! when you didn't even claim but they consider you a higher risk because you were involved in an accident and statics show you are more likely to have another

Firstly just let me say I like the Chris Harris reviews they are usually informative and entertaining. He says the car is good up until you push it beyond 8/10's which is probably fair enough in my opinion, when you push the 370 too far it can get lairy but 99% of the time you will not drive it beyond 8/10 and if you were going to then you would make modifications to improve the last 2/10th's e.g suspension, brakes etc If the car was to drive better in the final 2/10th it would not be what it is made to be i.e. a brilliant gt cruiser that eats the miles up and you can enjoy driving 200+ miles in rather than it being a chore, it's a very comfortable car around town or on the motorway, as with any car when pushing it you need to realise it's limits If it drove better on the limit then the rest would suffer, comfort and usability and would become a car that is great for a blat but you wouldn't want to go a great distance in it Chris is well known on the Porsche forums and definitely is biased towards them, he doesn't mention the cost of ownership would be much higher and the fact that earleir caymans are known to suffer bore scoring, ims failure etc etc yes they are great cars and handle superbly but if he is going to be brutally honest then be brutal about them all I watched this before I bought my 370 aswell as all the other reviews, as said most are positive and I made my own mind up after many test drives, I dont drive like he is on the test (most of the time) Whats the best car ? the car that suits you're needs and budget

That exhaust look's standard to me from here but that number plate is definitely not road legal. Welcome aboard and enjoy your new Zed. Eagle eye ! Good spot on the plate

GIXXERUK replied to CavemaN1010's topic in 350Z General
Pm zedmanalex or r35lee I'm sure they will have a used fuse box with relays Maybe if there is a drain hole near there it's blocked ? Which would cause it to fill with water -
Apart from driving it, any plans ?

Yes its an amberectomy, costs nothing and easy to do

I have to disagree mate, I dont think the c4 is a fast car, yes its quick like a 350 or 370 but to say its scary quick seems very odd to me. The 911 is more focussed then a 350/370 and the power delivery and handling is something you have to learn, the car is older and the seating position is lower so you feel the speed more than in a modern car. In the same way a 350/370 is quick but deceivingly quick, you dont realise how fast you are going until you look at the speedo I had my c4 for nearly 4 yrs and at the same time my brothers both had c2's, pretty much the same cars until you push hard, steering is a little heavier on the c4 and you definitely feel the front end light in a c2 more they are now gone replaced by a rs focus, 370z and a 911 turbo, the turbo is a fast car as is riding a bike is fast but I really dont see the c4 as fast Not trying to diss you're opinion but it may well mislead people Unless you have driven both its very difficult to explain the difference in the power delivery as you will now know, they are great cars otherwise I wouldn't have kept mine for so long I agree with ekona get yourself to Cog, Chris is a genius, he doesnt use generic figures he will make the car handle they that suits you The handling on the 911 is the most sensitive I have ever known on a car, even new tyres can totally transform it and worn do the opposite, many people think the have problems only to find out the tyres need changing ( not just worn but out of date, flat spots due to standing etc)

is it possible to upgrade a 2009 HU with a 2010 system?
GIXXERUK replied to gstraw's topic in I.C.E & Electronics
I haven't seen the upgrade done but I can't see why not, how easy it would be is unknown, checkout 370z.com, maybe someone has done it there You can fit a reverse cam to either unit but they are fitted/wired differently -
Planning on making a comeback!..
