  1. I drive it hard but I also try not to make the traction control come on (too much!) - that's the quickest way in my view! I do sometimes deliberately provoke a small slide for fun though when it's safe to do so!
  2. this is the best and most useful post you have ever made here!!
  3. ah yes that field sure can get muddy! nearly drowned in it during jools holland there last year ..
  4. I am driving up to Alnwick (up above Newcastle) on the 28th I think .. hmmm
  5. absolutely you did the right thing - no question at all! scary stuff car-jacking
  6. kit lenses are never the best - but they are good value and a good starting point silly to buy without in my view!
  7. it's a bit chavy there too
  8. looks very smart ! where are you based now then?

    Help?

the figures sound achievable from a remap - be interested to know who is doing it as most places dont seem able to..
  10. got a spare router you can try?
  11. can you not repair the network connection? right click the network icon in system tray and do diagnose and repair..

    Top Speeds

there was a post during the summer on my350z.com where they did high speed runs in a TT Z on some salt flats or something.. if you can find it! the video on the making of the Z definately says it has been designed for zero lift.. I presume meaning the lift counters the downforce rather than the lift countering the (downforce + weight)!
  14. looks very nice - and unchanged from the factory? definately keep the traction control on if you have the original spec tyres !
  15. squirrels? if youre feeling brave then take it apart and put it back together again.. dash noises like that can be a real pain to find though
  16. My bad on the struts - me and Daron (well mainly Daron of course! ) fitted them the wrong way... they are great
  17. I wrote in another post that I wasnt happy with the struts that me and Daron (NI5MO) fitted the other day.. now I have just fitted them the RIGHT WAY ROUND and they are great sorry for impuning your struts, bigphil! (I blame Daron btw - as he did his first and then showed me how to fit mine!)
  18. the cubby is different between 03 and 04 btw - so an my03-05 cubby could be either
  19. actually I am not terribly happy with my rear struts atm as there is a problem with the boot no longer fitting flush to the roofline when it's closed - am investigating..
  20. It can be - by a Metro 6R4 (0-100 8.2 sec)
  21. Must admit it does look stunning but a 5litre engine thats slower than a 3.8 litre engine, Id rather save on fuel and pay for a 3.8 and be quicker Isn't that a bit like saying you'd take the 2.0 from a FQ340 over the 3.5 from the Zed? True but 2 litre to 3.5 litre is not big difference. 3.8litre to 5 litre v10 is huge difference hmm surely 2 -> 3.5 is 1.5 whereas 3.8->5 is 1.2 ... in percentage terms then 2 -> 3.5 is even larger than 3.8 -> 5
