I had one given recently and Mike fitted it for me last weekend - there was a slight issue with the fixings under the strut bar not having a thread in them - seems to be a common thing that they somehow get pulled out because his car was the same and you have to cut through your carpet for the brackets as well.

I had almost the same 'to buy or not to buy' issue but in reverse............. Went to view a house and the first thing i made the vendor do was get a tape measure out and tell me how big the garage was! The car always comes first...........

Just wanted to say what a fab service from these guys. Ordered some Falken 452's on Tuesday and they were delivered on Wednesday. Getting them fitted saturday morning.

Mine's the same year as yours Dan - didn't know the windows had power after turning off the ignition - i'll have a try with mine later! My seat belts do a funny thing when you turn the ignition off - they make a clunking noise and grip you - do yours do that?

I am a total user guide geek with everything i get especially cars! As mine was Jap i had to get one off ebay and its actually on my bedside table.........

Not quite sure what you mean.......its correct they have to have a thatcham 1 alarm fitted for insurance here. Mine has a cobra which consists of a fob with one large and one small circle that you press. The large one does everything and i don't use the key fob at all. The small circle sets the alarm off. There is also a little stick thing and a corresponding little hole in the lower dash. For ages after i bought the car I was putting the little stick thing into the hole to reset it as it imobilises itself if you don't start the car within a short space of time. Then i was told that all i actually had to do was press the big button again while the keys are in the ignition so no more stick poking! I think the stick thing is actually in case something happens to the fob or battery - like an override thing.
