  1. we want pics of you in it to see if you fit!
  2. bloody hilarious! I'll strike you off my list of forum members local to me then that can handle a screw driver........
  3. Looks a nice little car Rich. My ex next door neighbour had one, he loved it - he called her Rhonda. Just be careful in the bad weather but i bet you have lots of fun in it.
  4. So you're getting a chewits version? Nice! I had a dent on my wheel arch and everyone said it would need bodyshop filling because of not been able to get to it from behind. A dent technician actually did it by drilling from the inside of the wheel arch and then putting a gromit in the hole afterwards. You can't even tell it was there and it was about £40 for that and a couple of door dings. Post a pic up so we can see where and how bad. by the way
  5. Yes it was a comfy car - I would definitely consider it as a second/winter car if i had the cash. Loads of room and felt quite safe - don't know which version it was but felt flat as a fart but then it would i suppose after a zed! When i dropped it off and got back in my car my clutch felt really stiff and i felt like i was sat on a skateboard! It is true though how you get complacent about things and take them for granted.
  6. I'm saying nothing - i need him onside at the moment!
  7. its ok i'm not getting those now. My car passed its MOT with the bit of tread that's left so i'm ordering some 452's when i'm back off my hols - i've been happy with these before. I was really happy driving my car away thinking how well its doing for a 2003 car and hardly ever had a problem and sailed through every MOT. the other thing that made me laugh was how you get used to having a zed and it becoming 'normal'. When i got in that qashqai i realised just how quick my car is in comparison.
  8. Just had my P3 and MOT done at Atkins in Malton. £250 all in. Can't fault these guys at all. Even take my wheels off to clean them inside. Oh and he passed!!!!
  9. not quite how i remember it Matt........it was more Nicola - help me, my car is smudgy what do i do - wasn't it?................
  10. More money to spend soon too.............my fee's You charge??????????????? You're sacked!
  11. Think he was trying to stop it running off - it must have been badly hurt because there was a huge area of sand on the road over the bloody when i came back - after sitting on the A64 for nearly an hour! (just passed the warning triangle with the picture of the deer on it........
  12. I was going to order Falken 452's as i've always been pleased with them - from Camskills. BUT my MOT will run out while i'm waiting on them and I'm in France from Sunday so its all got a bit complicated.......... The Nissan place at Malton have ordered me some but could only get the other falkens which aren't as good but are cheaper 912's i think they're called. Not a lot else i could do really. If you want a decent local fitter there's Winns in Pocklington but they don't do those tyres - you would have to buy your own and have them sent there i suppose.
  13. On the way to drop my car off for its service and MOT this morning there was a major smash on the opposite side of the road. Literally nothing left of a renault clio but the driver was out of the car on the path and holding onto a deer by its horns!
  14. Car is in for a P3, MOT and new rear tyres. Just had to pay £120 insurance deposit and about to do my tax online now. I hate to wish summer away but I need payday already! Thank god for my flexible friend. I hope to god there's nothing wrong with it when they do the MOT. They lent me a qashqai - its quite a nice car. Very bouncy. Makes me realise just how much the zed sticks to the road going around corners. I've had 'sports' cars for so long I forget you can't chuck anything around the corners like I do!
  15. I have a pump on my shower, i have no idea what it is, it makes a bit of a humming noise from the loft but the shower is AWESOME!!
  16. And thanks for the proof that not only do I wash my own car but I'm nice to other people as well! (although you're still in trouble for putting it up.............)
  17. Cheers guys - I'll try all that. I did a full scan with kaspersky and then again with spyware blaster which picked a bit of stuff up kaspersky missed. I'll try some of the above as well. It's only a year old, not an old laptop and I don't have tonnes of stuff on it in terms of storage space really. Problems seem to have started since it went back to the manufacturer for warranty work when the click pad stopped working. I had to complete put it back to factory settings and backed everything up onto an external hardrive. Its never been right since i started putting everything back! I'll try all your recommendations first then if all else fails i'll wipe it AGAIN! Something to do on an evening i suppose!
  18. yeah i suppose its worth a go but i won't hold my breath!
  19. I've had two knee surgeries but nothing like that. I was on crutches for a while last time and couldn't drive my car for 6 weeks. At first you'll feel like you will never walk again but you'll soon get over it. Best of luck with it!
  20. All of a sudden its started going really slowly and just hanging! Its driving me mad. Constantly just freezes and says firefox is not responding. Also Itunes appears to be totally ballsed up as well for some reason. I load a cd onto itunes, its all done, ping, ready and then when i eject the cd it vanishes from the itunes library like i never even loaded it. I've done a full scan with my antivirus software and spyware blaster and its not really much better. It's so frustrating its about to have an unfortunate accident i think.................all this seems to have coincided with my son borrowing it..............he swears blind he hasn't downloaded anything and i can't find anything untoward but who knows!
  21. Oiy - get off here and get cracking with my mortgage!
