  1. Ok, so the pic sucks. Crap camera. If the "idea" is worthy of inclusion I can take it again with a much better camera. Oh and that's not a scratch it's a reflection from the flash and probably the water.

    R35 or R34

Believe is was 20 or 24 GTR's. The story was that production of the 34 was well over so Nismo asked Nissan if they would sanction them buying back a small number of GTR's and rebuilding for an ultimate version labeled the Nur Spec II.
  3. And on a McLaren related subject: http://www.mclaren.com/latestnews/pdf/M ... embers.pdf This is the letter from Martin Whitmarsh (COO Mclaren Group) to Max Mosley and the WMSC. Good read.

A guesstimate of 55k sterling converted to euro. Add on VRT which from the 1st of July will be based on emissions and increased to about 36%. Then you have to add in Nissan Irelands cut, which there will be, and you end up with a figure that requires selling a few organs on e-bay. (By the way, they've changed the motor tax/road tax to emmissons based also so next year I'll be paying €2000 a year)

You may wonder. Regardless of price in the UK I'm expecting it to be around 105k Euro to 115k Euro in Ireland.

  15. Schumacher Stuns Cabbie In Airport Dash Updated:09:44, Wednesday December 12, 2007 A taxi driver in Germany was shocked when he expected to take Michael Schumacher to the airport - and found himself as the passenger. Meet your new cab driver...The seven-times Formula One champion had flown with his wife and two children to the Bavarian town of Coburg on Saturday. They then took a taxi to the village of Gehuelz, 30km away, to pick up a new puppy - an Australian sheep dog called Ed. But when the 38-year-old motor racing star and his family caught a taxi back to the airport they were short on time - and got stuck in traffic. After a polite request, cab driver Tuncer Yilmaz watched amazed as Schumacher took the wheel. Advertisement Schumacher, 38, told stunned Tuncer Yilmaz: "You don't have a problem with that, do you? I've got a licence." The Turkish cabbie told how Schumacher hurtled round corners in the Opel and made the flight with just seconds to spare. "I found myself in the passenger seat, which was strange enough, but to have 'Schumi' behind the wheel of my cab was incredible," he told the Muenchner Abendzeitung. "He drove at full throttle around the corners and overtook in some unbelievable places. Michael Schumacher"He did the impossible, passing everything, like the professional he is. "He took the curves with elegance and grace, they just vaporised. It was the turbo-charged experience of my lifetime." And the cabbie was well rewarded - on top of the 60 euros (£43) fare, he was given a 100 euros (£72) tip. "He also gave me his autograph," said Mr Yilmaz. "It was the coolest ride of my life. And the fastest." But he would not reveal how fast the former champion drove, saying: "I don't want him to get into trouble."
  16. Interest profession. How did you get into it? Not that I'm about to quit IT.
  17. I thought a ship had to be abandoned before salvage could be claimed.
  18. Yep, has to be done. Followed quickly by 4 new tyres. My delay is the cost against the weather. Book the track, accomation, ferry and arrive to find it pissing down. Will cost me about a grand to do it.
