  1. Far away in the tropical waters of the Caribbean, two prawns were swimming around in the sea One called Justin and the other called Christian. The prawns were constantly being harassed and threatened by sharks that inhabited the area. Finally one day Justin said to Christian, 'I'm fed up with being a prawn; I wish I was a shark, and then I wouldn't have any worries about being eaten.' A large mysterious cod appeared and said, 'Your wish is granted' Lo and behold, Justin turned into a shark. Horrified, Christian immediately swam away, afraid of being eaten by his old mate. Time passed (as it does) and Justin found life as a shark boring and lonely. All his old mates simply swam away whenever he came close to them. Justin didn't realise that his new menacing appearance was the cause of his sad plight. While swimming alone one day he saw the mysterious cod again and he thought perhaps the mysterious fish could change him back into a prawn. He approached the cod and begged to be changed back, and, lo and behold, he found himself turned back into a prawn. With tears of joy in his tiny little eyes Justin swam back to his friends and bought them all a cocktail. (The punch line does not involve a prawn cocktail - it's much worse.) Looking around the gathering at the reef he realised he couldn't see his old pal. 'Where's Christian?' he asked. 'He's at home, still distraught that his best friend changed sides to the enemy & became a shark', came the reply. Eager to put things right again and end the mutual pain and torture, he set off to Christian's abode. As he opened the coral gate, memories came flooding back. He banged on the door and shouted, 'It's me, Justin, your old friend, come out and see me again.' Christian replied, 'No way man, you'll eat me. You're now a shark, the enemy, and I'll not be tricked into being your dinner.' Justin cried back 'No, I'm not. That was the old me. I've changed.'......... (You're going to love this...............................) . . . . . . . . . 'I've found Cod. I'm a Prawn again Christian'
  2. More heavy falls forecast for tonight in the South West
  3. You didn't state that the problem occurs in all gears in your original post, just in higher gears. You should get it checked out as to produce juddering at 25 mph in low gears doesn't sound right.
  4. Happy Birthday youngster. 45 is but a distant memory for me. Enjoy
  5. Yeah Martin didn't anyone tell you that the only type of wet birds worth wrestling with are ones straight out of the shower
  6. They certainly look much better than the stock ones
  7. Labouring refers to when an engine is struggling to pull, ususally because it's in too high a gear.
  8. Very nice Ian. Mine's tucked up in the garage though, so no snowy pics from me.
  9. I know, slow to respond but I got there in the end
  10. It's snowed on and off most of the night here and is coming down now really heavily. I've only got one lecture today and I have cancelled that so guess I shall have to stay home today then.
  11. Sorry to hear about the accident to the Zed, Chris. At least the Alfa's FWD which is preferable than RWD in the snow.
  12. Sounds like a duff battery Ian. Best to get it off the car and have it tested.
  13. About £2k over-priced imo. There was a post on here only yesterday for an 06 56 plate going for £12995.
  14. The snow is supposed to be getting here later today. No work for me tomorrow then as I live in a small village where they don't bother to clear the roads so the Zed is worst than useless, and my Evo is currenty about 40 miles away having some work done on it.
  15. If you possibly avoid it I would not attempt the trip at all Martin.
  16. Hi and Nothing like a bit of snow for a steep learning curve into rear wheel drive. Take it easy and you should be fine.
  17. It looks to be a good buy based on the description. 06 facelift models such as this are going for anything up to £15K even allowing for the current economic climate. The SatNav lives behind the cubby in the centre of the dash just below the 3 instruments.
