  1. My Canon 350D outputs pics of about 3.5MB in JPEG. A RAW (near enough BMP) will come out at 12MB I'd suggest whacking the photos in Photoshop and resizing them, and also reduce the image quality a tad that will bring down the size.
  2. Looks good Trev, I'm thinking about getting some for mine when I get it

    Nismo V2

Stunning mate Once I get mine and the carputer fitted, I think I'll be getting a Nismo kit on it if the funds allow it.
  4. Enjoy the car and ask lots of questions. The guys and gals here are more than happy to help
  5. Thats IT in general I'm afraid. God knows why I did a BSc and MSc in Computer Science Just try not to fall asleep too much, revision is definately recommended for insomniacs. Oh and good luck!
  6. And not as common either That was probably my main reason for purchasing the zed Far too common the Boxster is. I pass about 4-5 every day on the way home. I see 1-2 Zeds if I'm lucky. Had a good drive in today, saw a Zed and one car infront a DB9, two of my fav cars
  7. Apologies, should have been clearer. I have a 7" lilliput on the way from fleabay and I am trying to fit it. What I need to know is if the Sat Nav surround from an 04 will fit an 03. This bit: I know a a lot of people say to use the 03 as it is simpler to fit a screen to, but if I can get hold of an 04, is it possible to put it in an 03 car?
  8. Chaps, Will a 2004 Sat Nav console fit a 2003? I am planning on putting a Carputer in my 03 when I get it, and plan on possibly using the 2004 Sat Nav console if they fit. I know that a 2003 will fit in an 2004 but I have heard it may not work the other way around. I realise they are harder to work with that the 03, but if I can only source a 04 then it might be the way to go. TIA Chris
  9. Doesnt that cause it to come out really quiet? I thought this ROEM box was meant to boost the signal?
  10. Ian, Quick question (dont worry it applies to Jimbo too). I am trying to work out the wiring with the PAC-ROEM kit. From the pic in eBay link above, does it link like this: [NEW_HU]---(RAD-UNV)---[PAC-OEM]---(AMP-NIS2)---[bOSE_AMP] In which case you would place the micra kit between the RAD-UNV (I assume stands for Radio Universal i.e. not specific) and the HU? Do you have to splice the wires into the Micra harness or is it a case of plug and play? If you have to splce, could you not just splice it straight onto the HU harness? Or is the idea you splice it to the micra harness and save the original HU harness? Hope that makes sense, just want to make sure I have the wiring right
  11. Chaps, if you are interested in P21S try getting the kit if you havent tried it before. On the Leon Cupra boards, I got a kit for £35 which inc wax, polish, wheel cleaner, shampoo and applicator pads. With the wax costing £20, its not much more and gives you more products to play with. Sorry no direct link though, this was a while ago. That reminds me, if people are getting swirls from P21S wax, it may be the applicator pad causing it. It doesnt seem the softest thing in the world if people arent gentle with it. My Leon has had no problems with it as I've had it from new and cant see many swirls.
  12. I knew there had to be a use for it somewhere
  13. Thats just it. Non-bikers just dont understand it. My GF hated the fact that I was learning to ride (legally ), but once she saw the bike and saw me riding it, she wanted a go too! It makes no sense, but hell is it fun I still dont condone idiots driving wrecklessly, they give bikers a bad name.
  14. What a crap gimmick. I'd rather see less of the sky than more, as Chesterfield says, the sun just ends up blinding you all day rather than just in the morning or afternoon! Imagine being in that will the missus. She'd want it up to see the pretty day and you'd want it down to stop the sun blinding ya! Argument central.
  15. As a biker myself, I fully agree with you Chesterfield. Most bikers these days drive like complete tits and deserve to be punished by the law. You should not have to move over to let a bike through, and half the time its detremental anyway as you kick half the **** from the gutter into our visors! I was being followed the other day by a biker who was arsing around and all over the place. He looked like a complete knob and I think he gives bikers a bad name. As Billy pointed out, its the fair weather bikers who are complete tits usually and I am ashamed to admit I am a fair weather rider In our defense, if you look at the stats then it appears that most biker accidents are caused by bikes hitting cars when they pull out rather than bikers doing it themselves. It was only yesterday I was riding in a nice friendly fashion, waiting in a queue of traffic when some knob decided he was going to sit 3ft from my rear wheel. If he had clipped me that would have been the end of it
  16. , hope you enjoy the stay, the guys here are very friendly. PS No getting a Zed before me, thats not fair
  17. Bah, why can't people just be responsible Sure you can pay off a couple of local heavies down the pub to go treat their car in the same way they treated yours, bet they wont do it again then
  18. Surely that is not their choice. They damaged your car, therefore you can surely report them for crimial damage if they are not willing to "play ball"? Evil I know, but they cant just say they're not paying can they?
  19. You have to leave it to glaze over, much easier to remove then. Not sure why a damp cloth but all waxes I have used say to use one, so I do.
  20. Well as you say, you have been done slightly as Chips Away could do it for say £50. At the same time though, the guy seemed like a bit of a **** so for the sake of £150 you've got it all done and dusted. I guess it depends if you are a glass half full or empty man. Yeah it cost you £100 more than it could, but its also saved you £100 on what it would have cost through insurance. So lesson learnt and be content with it I guess. As for cameras, I heard you cant use digi cams as you are able to doctor them. Is this true? I know friends that carry disposable cameras in their cars because of this.
  21. Might be worth registering It is indeed, I signed up just to see the results Looks
  22. Dont you just wish Nissan would fit proper gas struts Just get it all done on insurance and try not to think about it is all I can say unfortunately. Lets hope people here can read this and never have it happen to them.
  23. Good news, hope it all goes well
