  1. I have in the past used both super resin polish(srp) and ultra deep shine(uds) and there is very little difference between the 2 srp has more fillers in it and will mask swirls and random depth scratches (rds) better than uds. If you want to use extra gloss protection (egp) then srp is the polish to use my understanding is that egp does not bond to uds but is designed to work with srp. Once you start you'll soon get addicted to detailing
  2. He had data logger fitted as part of the run and apparently at one point he was doing 140 mph at 148 degrees and towards the end 104 mph backwards. The only real damage is a cracked disc. His best 30-130 time was 9.96 sec. He will not be removing the spoiler again anytime soon
  3. Have a look at this, Mate from work removed the spoiler to see if he could get higher top speed results are spectacular he's a lucky guy. He does swear near the end for those of a sensative nature.
  4. I changed from Bridgestones to MPS about 3 weeks ago. The Michelin's have improved the ride and have much better grip in the wet, but the handling has changed. Michelins have a softer sidewall and I drive on lots of 'B' roads and in the dry initial turn in doesn't seem as sharpe as with the Bridgestones. It has been mainly wet since putting them on so not really had much dry running. I may be wrong but seem to remember the tread wear number on the Bridgestones to be 120 the MPS are 220 so you would think the Bridgestones were softer/grippier. My recommendation would depend on the use you put your car to, if daily driver in all weather conditions i would say MPS if mainly used weekend or dry stick with the Bridgestones (awaits flaming)

I've just got what I think is a cracking deal from Just Tyres, 4 michelin pilot sports for £482 they are doing a buy 3 get 1 free deal at the mo on michelins
  6. I'm not great with web stuff and cannot get pics from other site. I'll contact the guy who did the write up and see if he'll send me a copy and then re-post.
  7. Went to a detailing day in Leeds back in February caught the bug but wasn't happy with results I got by hand so got Steve from Leeds to sort me out. Have a look at this thread I think the results speak for themselves http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=27757
  8. I now live near Selby, used to live in Wigginton still have freinds and family round there, Tesco petrol is cheaper than round here so when in York I usually fill up. I was in the Corsa when I saw the Zed mines keeping warm in the garage at the mo
  9. I've done just over 12k on the Stones and need new rears fronts still have just over 4mm. I dont know how anyone gets 20+k out of them. My daily drive drive is 10m each way on twisty 'B's and straights 'A.
  10. Tesco Clifton Moore petrol station guy was 2 behind me at the till sure he only put £7 worth in so he can't live far away.
  11. Guy's thanks for replys so far, I posted for a couple of reasons I'm happy for the dealer to use Nissan parts but the filter I'm offering (Amsoil EA012) will be better quality than the nissan standard unit. Equally I guess its a warning to others if you fit non nissan parts even if better than standard they may affect your warranty I think I will still check with Nissan to get their official position
  12. My Z is about due and oil and filter change,(nearly 7k since last in Feb & winter is coming) obtained both from Amsoil 5-30 fully synth and a filter. Rang dealer to arrange service, informing them I would like them to use my oil and filter not a problem but dealer points out they have had a problem with an engine on another car not a Z but nissan wanted a full set of details on which oil and filters had been fitted at each service. Dealer is happy to use my stuff no compaints with him, he's just making me aware. I have seen lots of bad stories about Nissan and their wriggle out of it if at all possible warranty. What do you guys think would Nissan use a better but non Nissan filter to get out of and engine problem? Should I get in writing from Nissan thats it ok to use my filter before I ask the dealer to fit it?
