  1. Or nicking parts to sell on to you on the cheap
  2. Ditto in GM once I work out how to add the logo.
  3. Anyone game? I've been a few times with a mate and his Evo. This time I get to take my own lovely Jap hunk of metal!
  4. From what I have seen in tech docs the antenna amp is further up near the rear strut brace. I will try moving the PSU and see what difference that makes. It doesnt give a constant noise, just I seem to lose signal more often than I used to, hence thinking the antenna amp isnt getting enough power. Will need to have a play with the setup a bit more. Any one know wha the other box in the glovebox is? It seems to have a fair few wires passing through it.
  5. Sounds interesting, let us know how it goes. Would be interested to hook up my steering wheel controls to my carputer. That or to my HU, not sure yet. One question you might be able to answer me. In my 53 reg glovebox, under the plate thing in the middle, I have a box stuck to it. Any idea what this is? I'm curious as to whether my Carnetix PSU is causing interferance with it as since putting my Carnetix in I seem to get more noise on the radio. Not sure if I need to rewire the power to the antenna or if its this box I'm interfering with or something else near the glovebox.
  6. Another one for you guys a bit further up North than me - local pickup only http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-350z-verti ... dZViewItem
  7. Damn, I was tempted. Looks like I'll be watching yet another auction...
  8. Good going guys. As Trev says, you wont need U-turns when you pass! On my direct access I had to do my U-turn on a hill and camber! Needless to say, I failed that one! That was with a car instructor who was standing in Nailed it next time around though and havent done one since
  9. For a non-Bose then I beleive the micra harness is fine. For a Bose (like mine) there is some debate over whether you can simple use the micra harness and wire up the amp trigger or if you need the PAC-ROEM kit that I used. Needless to say the kit did work flawlessly. Which HU do you have?
  10. Agreed. I went out on Friday night with my better half and a mate with his missus. He owns an Evo VIII and thinks it is the mutts nutts, and that nothing can beat it on the road. Now his missus had never seen my car so she had a quick look around and the very first thing she said to him was "and why didnt you get one of these?!"
  11. I'll keep my eye on this, cheers for the heads up
  12. I think I looked at that one on interweb, but it was more expensive at the time, around £17.2k. You're getting a good deal there fella if you get it
  13. Well done chap! Nixy: chances are your lad wont get caught, but its a what if situation. As ir_fuel points out, if he has an accident then the insurance may check the bike over and if they find its not restricted, he could be fined, be insurance black listed etc etc. But its a what if. As you say hes old enough to do what he wants. I know people that had unrestricted bikes before stickly allowed and it did them no harm. Just make sure he gets lots of time in the saddle before pushing it as the six will bite you in the butt if you get it a little wrong as I have experienced myself with a few scary moments. 0-60 in around 3.5 seconds is bloody quick!
  14. Good choice, I have an R6 too Tell him to be damn careful on the six, its a lot different to a 125 Just remember, a restricter can be a couple of hundred quid to install and 10mins to rip out! Not wanting to stir but its harsh but true.
  15. Although if its all you have, its not that bad. I have it on my network at home as its the only encryption my mums laptop supports. In all honesty its pretty damn time consuming trying to crack it in the home environment. I did a study as part of my MSc and at the rate I was collecting the right unique frames it would have taken me a month of constant sniffing to get enough unique frames to get the key! In work places however, you can get enough in about an hour or two. I would say use it as a last resort as at home its not too bad, but there is a lot better!
  16. Sarnie bidding on it? If so I'll give it a miss, but its tempting atm
  17. Chesterfield is spot on. I also have a Netgear router and never have trouble. One thing I would say is you may need more connection information than just the username/password. You may need things such as the VPI/VCI and whether it is PPPoE or PPPoA. Not likely but worth noting from the connection settings on your current connection (modem). If you need any help just shout up
  18. Good luck chap. I have a 53 GM w/GT, you'll love it
  19. Yeah go for it. I'll try and get it posted when I can, but be warned I have a poor memory!
  20. I'm keeping an eye on it. How much do they usually go for?
  21. What could be more scary is my missus had a quick go and now wants it as her car Wish this had come along in a few months. My bumper is peppered with stone chips, but as I have just bought mine I cant afford it atm
