  1. Faceslap doesnt lie, it is his birthday! Happy Birthday Martin, hope you have a good one :drunk:
  2. It really depends on what car you have. If it already has very good handling and braking then why not do power first? Theres no reason not to. As the others have said, all things being equally matched, you would do suspension/wheels/tyres and brakes first before upgrading power. Exterior is completely up to the owner as to when to change it, again it depends on what they want to achieve. Seems your mate is a bit of a sheep, being told to do things in an order, without using common sense to work out what acutally needs to be done
  3. Oh dear, I can see this going down hill very very quickly. You should have known better bronzee I'll say I would be the ECU, as I'm the brains of the operation, but quite often get it wrong
  4. Very minimal differences tbh. Try sending Matt@i4detaling (7MAT is his username) a PM and see what he says. I'm sure there was a post about which of the waxes suited which colours.
  5. I would vote gimmick as to the sonic bit, but as a little scrubber, it could be quite useful as Mark has found. Cant see it alone will shift brake dust, but will help when used with the right products I guess!
  6. +1 on what the others said. Fine to run on 95RON, but if you can get 98RON or better the car will be happier, as I find I get better MPG which offsets the extra cost of the better stuff
  7. That doesnt sound good! I always assumed that when you push the switch it manually opens the latch or pushes the mechanism. If you cant do that by hand I assume something is jammed. You may still be able to remove enough around the door handle area to get a bit of a looksie at some of the mech. Not sure how I'd go about fixing it, dare I say it, you migh need a stealer
  8. Right back on topic... after staying at the Macdonal "Portal" Hotel at Wales, Amanda and I think that the Macdonal Crutherland House is worth the extra expense over a Travel Lodge or Premier Inn According to google maps its about 4hrs on the first leg from Chester area to the hotel, then 3.5hrs to do the final stint to FA. Sounds about right to me
  9. Nice work there Bex! Will get Amanda onto it, shes chief accomodation officer We are thinking of staying somewhere near north Wales for a couple of days prior to setting off for Scotland on the Tuesday, so are easy on where we stop. I'm sure Amanda will have a preference out of that lot though
  10. Paints4u do a cracking stone chip repair kit. I use it on the biggest stone chips on my car and its the first kit I've found that perfectly matches GM. The kits come with excellent little applicators that mean you dont blob the paint in, you just put the bare minimum in. Works very well.
  11. Castle for two sir???? Dont give her ideas Luckily the winner at the moment is about £50 a night for the 2 of us
  12. Me and Amanda are now looking into other B&Bs after she saw a few on the net. I can see this getting expensive
  13. As Nick said, just bolt it to a bit of the chasis that is already there with a bolt in it. There are quite a few places around there if you remove the trim. Mine ended up on one near the rear ciggy lighter IIRC.
  14. Sorry missed this earlier. Yes got loads of LED bulbs from him, he sent me quite a few in the end to test them when I mentioned that people on here were looking fo the brightest ones. Seems a nice chap, and he definately sends them out from HK, but dont worry, they all got to me safe and sound. And yes they make it through the MOT just fine if you get the one in the first link, its by far the brightest.
  15. Yes, Chris and Ian helped me out finding an MOT friendly one, see other thread... http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=23242 Yup, mines been through an MOT with a clear lense and a LED bulb. I was massively concerned the first time, but its fine
  16. Quite a few of the traders on here do it. Matt@i4detailing does us a discount and he sells it Waxes - http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/waxes.html Dodo Supernatural (the dogs danglies!) - http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/D ... 0ml_1.html
  17. Good question. If it doesnt I'm tempted to crack open my spare OEM light, remove the lense and see it as a clear indicator cluster
  18. Asad... Ooh, really, didnt know that. Thanks chaps EDIT: Seems he never signed up as a trader, so better do it through eBay
  19. Mate you are going to make a lot of new friends with that! When I got my clear light off Phil, it was pretty cheap, but they are mucho expensive these days. Should save a few people a few quid! Top work
  20. removed em and painted em myself... I was looking to get these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/350Z-Emblem-Kit-Z ... 7C294%3A50
  21. Looks nice Any closer pics? Did you paint the 350z one yourself or does Sarah have black ones too? I've been after changing all my badges to black chrome ones
  22. He obviously moves around a lot Hes a registered user from Hong Kong and thats where my one came from. You can change the item location easy enough. Out of interest, was the original link from eBay US and not UK (i.e. was it an International Seller with the item on eBay US?). Its normally a ploy so when you say local items only it will still come up EDIT: Infact he has some items listed as US, some HK some AU!
  23. +1 though he was in Australia when I bought them He's based in Hong Kong but posts on all the eBays, so does get confusing
