  1. Fully agree chap, its a retarded design. Glad you have the warrenty to cover it (should be covered btw, mine was fully paid for by extended warrenty). Otherwise I guess Lee might have some for a couple of hundred quid, but you'd need to get Nissan to install and recode the keys/imobiliser.
  2. I dont know about the rays but the stock 18in wheels were a fair bit heavier that the GTR's They will weigh more then the Rays. My GTRs are 8.5"F and 9"R and they weigh more than the Rays. Not a huge amount in it, but they do weigh more. Remember Rays are proper lightweight forged wheels
  3. Yes very easy, and in most cases you wont ever do damage. Its when you go shorting 2 circuits that arent meant to be connected that you get into trouble
  4. Well you seem to know your electronics and you have the wiring diagram, so I'm sure you'll be fine. Just be careful not to make it worse, as Nissan wont solve it, they'll throw parts at it until it works again! I knew my BCM had gone by knowing that it linked all the bits that werent working, however it took them all day to decide this and then order the parts. Even then they went convinced it was the BCM!
  5. If your dash lights stop working, time to be
  6. but if you buy another 2nd hand car then that will cost more too, surely? Yes, unless you're trading down or buying new, your next car will be more expensive. Looks good if I want to get a 370z They dont reckon this will last long though. Apparently its all because of the Government trade in scheme, which is about to run out of money. As soon as it does, supply of used cars will increase again and prices will fall. But its nice while it lasts
  7. Guys, please be carefuly dicking about with the dome light. Trust me I learnt the hard way. Shorting the circuit can send a jolt back to the BCM and completely fook it up. I did this trying to work out the wiring for the footwell lights, burnt out the dome lights and ballsed up the BCM. Fortunately, I took it to Nissan saying it just decided to die when the dash lights all went out, and under warrenty they replaced the dome lights (£100+) and the BCM (£500+). I dont want this to happen to you too!
  8. This is definately the way to go. Girlfriends or mums work best in my experienece Plus it gives you tinkering time with the Zed
  9. Oh dear! Sounds like Nissan are right for once. The Zed has a specific bleed procedure (in the service manual) which when not followed can mean air gets trapped in the system. I got air in mine, but once bled properly we got it out. Took a while though and was the hardest system to bleed the garage had seen before. If Kwick Sh!t balls it up, they will have air in there and it takes ages to get out, even when you think its all out. Just have to keep going until the pedal is properly firm. Also tell them they need to do both nipples on all callipers, not just one, if they havent already done both! Or they pay for Nissan to put it right
  10. Looks like an excellent trip Think me and the missus are going to do something similar next year

  12. yeh was a bit of a pain but ive learnt the hardway to apply thin layers, first attempt half a year ago resulted in about 40 mins of buffing, this took me about 20 mins max including going back over every panel with a second towel Not bad then. I learnt to that with SN you need to do it nice and thin
  13. Nice work Ho, bet the owner was well chuffed. How hard do you find DD SN to remove after an hours cure time? I can imagine if you apply a little too thick, it would be a right sod!

As the others have said, sounds like nothing to worry about. A P1 only takes a couple of hours max
  15. My missus is the same. She didnt like my new wheel colour, but now says it looks ace, its really grown on her. So do what you like, dont listen to them, you can always change it if you dont like it Been meaning to mention your new wheel colour They look yellow in some pics Are they darker in the flesh? Yes, much nicer (and darker/bronzer) in the flesh

  17. This seller took 2 weeks to get the led to me but he sells them in pairs. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT You will do this mod and wish you done it ages ago He doesnt always take that long, its the HK post that can take the time. I had various sets off him before finding these as the brightest, and some only took a matter of 4-5 days to turn up
  18. I run 245F/275R on my 18" Rota GTRs and the handling is spot on. Turn in is slightly less responsive, but the car is loads more stable in the corners
  19. I did think that but couldnt remember So played it safe and said it was a customer car
  20. I seem to remember that car as being one of Adam@Z1autos customers. Try shooting him a PM, he might know what they all are
  21. And you got loads of them in your house, eh mate
