  1. I dont see why they wouldnt work on the UK car but you would need an autoelectrician to confirm. All it will be is a switch that will divert the current away from the airbag through a resistor to simulate one so the car is happy. The car will think on is there, and in an accident it will try to fire it, but it will no long be connected. The main thing is finding the resistance you need across the connection to keep the car happy
  2. I'd take him up on that offer, Alex has about the best knowledge of Zeds in the UK, you wont get a better offer
  3. I think they are going through the PANTONE charts for each
  4. I think they have! Amanda would like us to have a nice new car for Wales, but I just dont think the Black with dark wheels will look right and I think the 40th Anni car should have the limited edition paint. WILL have it by next years Wales run - or else I might end up like Amy, waiting for a car forever They havent said, but its 370 in Europe in total. I would expect it would be fairly similar numbers to the 35 Anni cars.
  5. Exactly. If you are putting your car on the net anywhere I can see why you would remove it, its easily done and it stops your car being an easy target. Not saying its not easy to get hold of peoples details, but why make yourself a target if you are bothered about it? My car being so modded, if someone gets done speeding in a cloned GM Zed with my plates, its dead easy to prove its not me
  6. I'd just have a quick drive to my local Nissan dealership, a lot quicker than trawling through 100's of threads to find a car the same colour If i was a criminal that is....... Yes but say you were after a rare colour, say Brickyard or Interlargos Fire, where there are only a couple in the Uk. How would you get those plates? More likely to find the pics on the owners club. I'm not saying its the easiest or only way, but it certainly makes it easier for crims to get them for rare cars.
  7. If it was a show car I would agree! TBH, the safe bet is dark, anthracite or GM. Most people like this and would be easy to sell on. If you want to stand out more, I love the look of my gold Rotas, although when nice and clean, they are a garish Look awesome when they are dirty, so dont go bright gold, go for one with a hint of smokieness in them
  8. Sarnies going to love this - you wanna know why you cant have Quartz like the rest of the world for another 2 months after the launch - well because they have called it the Black Edition - they decided to do the first lost in Black as its their best selling colour and hold Quartz back for later - GENIUS! Nissan crack me up sometimes!
  9. But i drive my car around everyday where 1000's of people can see my number plate......... Doesn't really make sense to me........ exactly what I was thinking !?!? I think it makes for an easy target on certain cars. If you are looking to steal a Fezza to order, how many of them do you see kicking about to try and clone the plates off? Now go on the owners forum where there are loads of pics, and now you have an easy way to get a plate to clone for the car you steal. That means you can then drive it around, to the port or whatever and ANPR wont pic you up as being in a stolen car I agree not such a problem on the Zed, but on other cars, its quite a common occurance
  10. You'll have a long wait, it wont be here til July by the looks of it Back to my corner - off to investigate mods
  11. You're all probably sick of this now, but heres the official press release with a bit more blurb:
  12. Agree with Stew, start off with something like Bilberry working into stronger concentrations of the stuff, as it might look a mess now, but it might come off relatively easily. You'll likely want to jack the wheel up (cheap jack and jack stands can be had from Halfords) and remove it to get it good and clean. Dont let any products you use sit on there too long and dont use anything for metal polishing (autosol brasso etc)!. Claybar when it looks clean if you can be bothered and a quick polish and they should look good as new. If thats too much hassle a pro will be able to do them
  13. No, its like buying a Mondeo and Ford putting Focus all over it. Why bother calling it a black edition when it says 40 Anniversary all over it. PS: I ask birds their name after I've slept with them, not before I can see your point James, and its not as if its going to put me off buying one, but in terms of marketing the thing, it is very confusing! I mean you would be very confused if you didnt know any better, bought one, have it delivered and then start questioning why it says 40th anniversary all over it when you ordered a Black Edition IMO it just shows why Nissan cant shift a lot of their top end cars very well, they just miss the finer points like that.
  14. Spot on, thats Nissan for you, come on Liam, you know what they're like
  15. Very good, especially get us a mention
  16. Yeah it will have the badge on the boot lid. I dont get why they are calling it the Black Edition either, apparently it meant to tie it to the GTR
  17. Royal Mail take the mick - I got some lense adapter tubes from the States - £11 total charge - £3 import charge and £8 handling from RM!
  18. Which year? i'll pencil her in for 2020 oooh, I am planning on having mine back for then as well!! Hey at least you can go and actually sit in your one!
  19. Mine did see details below Mine beat it by a whopping 4HP
  20. Depends what you are after. After seeing the arse fall out of the value of my 350z by modding it, the 370z I get will be largely unmodded apart from a few performance (reversable) mods. For me a dark coloured 350z with red interior was exactly what I was after, so this is perfect for me as a new car. But I can see if you are going to mod it, just get a normal GT model, and if you dont care about SRM, just get a base and save the cash for modding.
  21. July delivery on the Quartz coloured ones though, cant beleive the first shipment of them is in black More pics
  22. Booo dont say that, I dont want to pay HMRC I think you will be very lucky to escape it I know but I can be optimistic
