  1. Whilst I would love this to work, it would take some truely retarted programmer not to check license plate formats before doing the required database lookup. Wouldnt be the first time a retarded programmer got the job though!
  2. Got a link? We can see if we can contact them
  3. TBH these days, theres no point having loads of storage in a carPC, you'd be better off spending the same on a smaller SSD and have it boot faster then get a USB thumb drive for music/films/pics/etc. If you really want a big drive, look at the 500GB hybrid drives that are now out that have a few gig SSD built in. Best of both worlds. My standard laptop HDD lived for a good 3yrs mounted normally in a mac mini, never actually died, its not on house duties doing other file server stuff.
  4. Unless you live down south. Cheapest (good) mechs down here are about £50/hr
  5. They are more than welcome to come to the static elements (ie meet us at the hotel on Saturday afternoon/evening or at the stops on the way round on the Sunday) but they arent allowed to come on the drive. We have enough fun trying to shepherd 50+ Zeds around than trying to add even more cars. Plus it messes up photos
  6. Pfff, get a dog cage behind the front seats and stack the luggage on top of the engine Looks nice, bet its a hoot up on your local roads.
  7. I'd do HFCs/decats, panel filters, exhaust and UpRev and be happy with that gets you. Trying to get more after that lot (ie jumping from 285/290WHP to 300WHP) then starts to get a lot more expensive.
  8. Just for the few hardcore that venture in here - out takes from Danny Mega-skills first internet smash hit - he is human after all (well almost!) http://www.redbull.com/cs/Satellite/en_ ... 2962671366
  9. Tsk tsk Andrew, DOT5.1 should be replaced every couple of years at the least, haven't we taught you anything Only my Avids, I tend to find a bleed once an year keeps them nice and responsive. If you boil the fluid at any point, that would mean you need to change it sooner too, and I know some of the decents you have in the Lakes But yeah, 15 quid seems a good deal. Down here you'd be looking at 50 quid which is why I got the bleed kit straight away for mine. Also as Amanda has Avids too I can do both bike together and not waste much fluid once a carton is opened.
  10. Blob Eliminator should help - http://www.langka.com/blob-eliminator-p-31.html You can remove it depending on how long its been. In my experience any more than a few days and you'll struggle though. Less than 24hrs and it comes off easy, so long as the car hasnt been baking hot in the sun.
  11. A few from my photobucket account Hoon Wales (random years) Random
  12. Good choice matey - thats a lovely looking car Oh not that again
  13. Hibernate uses no power - unlike standby - as it saves the current state of the computer to HDD and powers off completely. Then it reads the last state from HDD on startup which is much quicker than a full boot. I recommend that you use hibernate over full shutdown. Standby on the other hand shuts down everything it can, but it has to keep the RAM powered up, which is when it will drain the car battery. If you get a Carnetix PSU, it wont ever let the car battery die as it has a low volt cutoff
  14. Thats some good numbers from an HR! Think I've got him covered though
  15. Went to the first centre in Reading a while back and test drove a G37S. Very nice car, good toys and decent handling. Not on a 370z's level, but if I was after more cruiser than sports car, it would have been on the short list for sure. Same engine and drive train as the 370z so sure a bit of UpRev magic would have made the engine/drive train side of things better as it was more sluggish than the 370z, didnt feel as urgent. Lovely armchair seats though, great if you do a lot of miles. The missus wants their new baby 4x4, she works opposite the Infiniti, Audi and Nissan garage in Reading so is constantly changing her mind over what she wants next
  16. Brrrr And why didnt you bleed your brakes yourself you lazy sod
  17. KAV is what you want. I got some from Paints4u last week, it looks like a good match You need to go through and pick the kit you want, then scroll down to the bit that says "I cant find the colour I'm looking for". In the box put "2010 370z Quartz KAV". Thats what I did and they made it up and sent it out very quick.

    WALES TRIP

Best meet we do (so far)
  19. Get to Maplins, buy an SPL meter. Read up on regs and write back to the council pointing out all of the above and say you will be more than happy for them to come out and test the property. Ask them what allowable levels are so you have it in writing from them. Then go test, play some music, xbox and TV. Record the SPL from in the flat and then take a wander outside and see how loud it is. TBH I wouldnt worry about it, but I'd probably get or borrow an SPL meter to cover yourself. Worst that will happen is council will send someone around with an SPL in which case you'd get to the bottom of it anyway.
  20. Suggest you head on over to the AVForums, they'll have you sorted It would seem there is something funny going on in the rendering. Are you sending the same image (ie desktop) to both? I would guess when its doing 3D it wont like another monitor being used. Also if you run Windows7 you should be able to assign one output as projector and one as monitor, and use Win+P key to swap between them. If you keep only one on at a time that should then work? It will know the native res of each and apply it correctly. It will be with both on that confuses it.
  21. Would have to disable by disconnecting it and bridging the connector with the correct resistor. However if it is a front facing child seat, I'm sure someone said it was OK according to the manual, just not allowed rear facing. If you put the seat right the way back, I cant see the airbag reaching as far back and down as a baby seat.
  22. Thought standard was 2.75" and thats restrictive? Might work though. I would guess there was a reason TVRs needed 2 though
  23. As I posted on the other thread - used mine last night to clean my seats, didnt even realise how dirty they were until they were clean Great product though
