  1. If I buy a zed again can I be a mod too??
  2. It may be depressing but if you have to shop at lidl etc to afford your zed, you can't afford your zed. Cut out luxuries such as booze smoking sky tv etc, but to start cutting down the food bill (unless you blowing £1000 a month at Waitrose every month) is a step too far in my opinion. A car is just a car, no matter what car it is.
  3. lol have you ever been to ComiCon or MCM Expo? people spend £1000s or random home mad steam punk objects replica models and other bits of pieces. But point noted, as maybe £200 is too much. I'm sure there are weirdo's out there who would buy them but if they cost you £150 in components, to sell them for £200, you've got to invest £1500 to make ten guns and sell the for £200 (if you can) just to turn a £500 profit. Out of that £500 profit you would need to take out the man hours it takes you to make them......... I applaud you for looking at stuff like this, just do it on a small scale before you plough money into it...
  4. Who would buy a Lego gun??? It's ok to look at a pic and think ' That look's cool, someone has spent a lot of time on that', but would I pay c£200 to have one in my house? No. I would have a serious think about who would actually buy one of these and then think about the price point. For example, I could see these selling to students, but not for anything near £200 etc etc.............
  5. The cars are cool. The way the drift them is cool. The figurines and set they have obviously built is ****ing sad......................
  6. The steering wheel surrounds are

    Gt Edition

Do a search. It's been discussed.
  8. £300 and I'll make a vid burning the spoiler so we can close this thread
  9. Come on boys I expect more from you lot........the brake calipers are non brembo so the pic was obviously taken off the net, probably from a US car. Unless he had them on an import which would be unlikely......
  10. I'd totally disagree about find something that interests you. I have three business, all of which either bore me senseless or I have zero interest in the products it sells. What floats my boat is; PROFIT
  11. Really? I've had an E46 M3 and an Alfa GT, all with three doors and coped just fine and my son is now two and a half
  12. +1 but it's form that gets you into the showroom You know when your hooked on a car when you make ridiculous allowances for it's shortfalls. Take Chris' LP640 example: Stupidly low mpg, emotional response to yourself/your Mrs: I'll scour a 25 mile square radius to buy Super unleaded 1p cheaper than the local garage to make it 'affordable' Only two seats; I'll buy a 15 year old shed to ferry my most prize possessions (my family) around in. Whilst the lambo sits there unused. It's too low to get over local speedbumps; I'll carry planks of wood in the boot or I'll drive 20miles around the long way to avoid them. It's too loud for the neighbours; I'll buy us a new house in the country. You'll use up our life savings on a car; It's only money, I'll earn some more. Servicing costs are expensive; I'll drive 200 miles to an independant to save £50. You get the idea I know that if I had a problem with the GTR that was going to cost me a few grand to rectify, I'd all out of love with it instantly and sell up. If the same happened with a car I was really in love with, I'd forgive it anything
  13. What your talking about is emotion, which can't be measured or reasoned with. I REALLY like the GTR, but I just can't find a way to LOVE it.......... I've wrestled with buying a GTR for about three years, but I've never even gone to look at one because there is no uncontrollable emotion driving me to do so. Just a fast four seater that I could get the green light from the Mrs for, just because a pram would fit in the boot......if she said go buy a Gallardo again, it would be on the drive by the weekend

  15. Mate it was hilarious.......I was trying to be diplomatic but Sarnie just waded in with his size 12's and said 'come on admit it.....you've already bought it haven't you'. It was covered in snow, massive dents all over it, bits and bobs not working, all the wheels kerbed and a ruck of other stuff I can't remember......this guy was getting proper annoyed and told us to 'keep our comments to ourselves' He bought the car, his username was/is chrisgunton or something similar. Do a search and you will see that he has posted threads about bits broken on his zed every other day......
