  1. I almost bought a JDM one of those Love the multispoke wheels on them... Yup, mines dones us proud over the last 18 months
  2. Really???? a 318i is the best looking car you have ever seen??
  3. That white one is desperate for spacers or bigger wheels...............something doesn't look right about it to me, can't put my finger on it though........
  4. I guess that's a bit irrelevant if the 'hirer' can't afford to buy the car outright in the first place. You hear people bigging up contract hire and the like by saying that they are avoiding or minimising depreciation losses but usually the car was out of their reach in the first place so they would never have bought it outright True, but people aren't 'avoiding or minimising depreciation losses' as ALL they are paying is for the depreciation of the car over the period that it is in their possession. The only way I could ever see these schemes working was if you ALWAYS wanted to be in a brand new car and always wanted to change it every two years or so. If you ever wanted to actually own the car, or to not be constantly paying £250 a month for ever (plus a deposit of £1500+ every 24 months) then you'd be better off looking at another way of purchasing a car. As i've said before, I'm certainly not anti-finance, I just can't see a benefit to any scheme that doesn't see you owning the car at the end of it......
  5. Good job i know a man who can
  6. Car sold on Tuesday! I thought there is a recession Meh people will always find a way to get something they want Mortgages
  7. The Guaranteed Final Value figure or balloon payment to purchase the car will make a difference too. The figures given that the SLK is half the price of the 370z, but what are the deposits, what are the starting figures, are the terms comparable and what is the final figure stated to purchase the car? It's all well and good saying that £250 a month for an SLK is better than £450 for a 370z, but what if at the end of the deal you need to find £20k to purchase it Vs £10k to purchase the 370z, as the extra money per month as been spent reducing the balloon figure? The monthly payment figure is only one variable out of many that needs to be considered.......
  8. Don't do that, that's what they want They then have your email address to send you also sorts of scam phishing emails etc etc.............
  9. Your old mans car may be great but is it better than it's petrol equivalent?
  10. My Lancer = Sarnie correct. Doesn't matter if your only paying £300 insurance, £150 tax and getting 500 miles to a take........when all's said and done its still an oil burner! My Alfa GT JTDm is a great car too, but I certainly don't enjoy driving it like I did my zeds, the G or the M3 for obvious reasons. It's practical and economical, which is Diesel's niche if you ask me. Not two seater soft tops.....
  11. As I don't have a zed, I'm not comparing it to one as such. Even just driving a diesel compared to petrol is completely different. You have to change up so early. I've never driven ANY diesel that I would consider fun to drive. It's a chore. Soft top driving is all about indulging the senses with sun and exhaust notes etc. Diesels have there place as dailly hacks where the 56 mpg is warranted but a two seater drop top is like trying to have your cake and eat it. I think you will become very bored very quickly of showing everyone how many miles you got out of your last tank of diesel
  12. Because it sounds like @*!#. If MPG is even a factor you shouldn't be buying a drop top. Think of the extra weight
  13. To be honest, from memory, I think they are sideways facing rather than front facing. For when you are edging out of blind junctions etc....
  14. These remind me so much of R35's. I know they are awesome and I really want to love them; but I just can't. I look at them and there isn't even a slight flicker of 'want'.
  15. I hadn't even bought my first zed at that point so I didn't know the aural pleasures that are out there Now, I couldn't think of anything worse than having the roof down listening to a transit van diesel chucking soot out of the rear end There's only two reasons to buy a soft top in my opinion, the sun and the noise. We now get **** all sun so driving a diesel soft top sounds like the worst idea in the world to me
  16. Going to look at one is not the same as nearly buying one. I'd never driven (or more importantly heard) a diesel at that point and would never have bought it if I'd actually got to drive it
  17. Thought I had you busted for a moment there! You gotta get up earlier than that kid viewtopic.php?f=21&t=7950&hilit=bmw+3+series
  18. Diesel soft top??????? WTF!!!
  19. Yup, now get those horrid concrete wheels off permanently
