  1. Jay, what are you doing to those poor Volks?!?!?!!?!?
  2. They will be 'stuck' in your outbox untill it is read by the recipient
  3. Nothing like a bit of Money Laundering
  4. Each parent will have their own IHT threshold, which as long as they don't exceed you shouldn't have to pay any IHT, depending on the figures were talking about here. However, if they die within 7 years of giving you the money, it could complicate matters. You need to seek out a specialist IFA.
  5. Two B's?????? Sloppy......
  6. No it's not; WAKE UP AT THE BACK PLEASE!
  7. Yep, the £ Vs the Yen saw to that. The only benefit to importing an R35 was to get it sooner as the JDM cars came out a lott earlier than the UK cars.
  8. Twice as expensive isn't actually that bad when you consider that even early GTR's (circa £40k) are at least four times as much as most 350z's (circa £10k).
  9. Congrats, I too have been living the 'parent pain' for a few years now
  10. Even with the Nismo sticker? In this instance yes +1 I can't imagine that there is a genuine V1 Nismo bumper anywhere in 2012 that is unpainted and never fitted etc.......
  11. Maybe someone should buy it then As soon as I can get the Mrs to go back to work, I'll be back
  12. http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/4125789.htm Looks nice, well priced too
  13. like tvr as we all know something is bound to happen. You don't know this, it's an unknown variable. The Mrs has has an Alfa Romeo for the last two years, and guess what? It hasn't gone up in flames, or broken down once, contrary to popular opinion Your choices are faaaaaar too safe for a weekend car. As biscuit says, the cars your looking at are great for doing 12-15k per year in. If your going to be doing a few K a year then get something special, or just keep the zed and buy an Akpro exhaust etc which you can sell on rather than loosing it on a Cayman/M3. Don't forget on cars of this price, buying from a dealer your going to be paying about £2k in profit. Your £28k from a dealer is only actually worth about £26k. Once you start driving the car and adding the mileage, in 12 months you'll be getting trade bids of less that £20k, irrespective of the mileage. The rarity of 350z's/370z's have kept their residuals fairly strong but as Cayman's and M3's are ten a penny, your going to take a huge hit imo.
  14. Oh dear... no I am trying to be fairly sensible on this guys. I have always fancied a porsche and decided I will have one before am 30.. so at a ripe old age of 25... I think I need to scratch the itch of owning a porsche If your being sensible, then there's nothing sensible about having a weekend car. If you were being sensible you'd take the work car and put all your money into buying a house
  15. For me a Cayman is not 'special' enough to be a weekend car. It's a Porsche, which means it's strength is as an everyday sports car, but not exciting enough to send a tingle down your leg on a Sunday morning when you think about going for a blast. I'd be looking at more of a Sagaris or Exige etc. Or maybe even a leggy Ferrari 355 perhaps...... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4158917.htm
  16. haaha I wish that I could afford a TVR mate, but I need to be fairly sensible about the next purchase. I dont think an m3 or and cayman s is a bad choice. Irfan... I dont really want a project car mate... I did toy with the idea.. but I like the luxury side of sports cars now... cant be doing with the 10 year car and then spending a fortune on it etc etc. Tough choice.. I have been offered a cayman s for a decent price and I am tempted. Going to go see the m3 today I think aswell. Here is the cayman s: http://ucl.porsche.de/ucl/plsql/uk/clie ... 1&caller_= Jay, I nearly fell asleep when I opened that link to the Cayman In my opinion, NEITHER are going to turn any heads. LOTS of people will think your a jumped up **** in EITHER car. NO-ONE will let you out at junctions in EITHER car. In the M3 people will think your the local gangster wannabe. In the Cayman, people will think you couldn't afford a 911. Thats said, I do actually like both cars, but the above is a lot of peole pre-conceptions about the cars and their owners. None of the above would stop me buying either of the cars but it what people will think. For though, it would be the M3 all day long. It gives you so many more options than problems it gives you. In the cayman your only ever going to be able to take you and your Mrs anywhere and boot space is restricted. If and when you and the Mrs have kids (they aren't always planned you know ) if your in the Cayman your gonna have to sell up........you could buy the M3 and not need to change cars for years
  17. Headlights are hideous............
