+1 I though i was stepping back into a 1970's car when i got back in the zed Audi do set the standard imho Fine for those who want a nice interior but I bought the ZED for the driving experience - something the Audi lacks big-time as the 4 wheel drive takes most of that pleasure away - the only time its worthwhile is when it snows

No bonnet humps on the roadsters - does this mean they are being sold new without the 313ps engine

Should I buy or should I run away?
Ebized replied to DontPanic's topic in Introductions & Welcome Messages
Hope you guys can do a deal - and if as the buyer Dontpanic you want to verify the history by going onto cfoster's profile you can read his posts that will help reveal what he and his car have been up while a member on here -
Welcome to the site Jim Looking at the pics I think you will find the colour is a gunmetal, although the UK ZEDs also came in (Blade) silver at that time. The alezan leather was quite popular with GM. Given it has 3 owners, I would check first to see if it has a full service history. From the pics it looks pretty tidy but not worth £13k - 2004 ZEDS can currently be had with the mileage that one has for between £10-12k tops. Suggest you check pistonheads for comparison, but best buys are likely to be from members selling on this forum Good luck

Could do with one of your sat-nav installs but then I guess that would be worth more than the car Brave man for owning up to your purchase But looking forward to hearing about your plans for the ZED

The car was not as advertised - complain to the local Trading Standards office where the seller is based, chances are his type will already be under investigation and if the TS decide to prosecute, and they know what you shelled out, you may get your deposit money back. Although I never use Ebay myself don't they have rules about misleading adverts? Best place to look for a good ZED is on this forum so keep your eyes peeled

Even it were spot on will every box ticked, in today's market 12k is way over-priced, although it hurts us to say that Suggest you compare with what is advertised on pistonheads -
A trader of the worst kind - just look at the description of the other cars he is selling - he simply makes the minimum adjustments without thinking how relevant or irrelevant his descriptions are. Wanting cash payments is a sure sign he is one to avoid And I agree, Nixy his wording is appauling Never buy a used car off me either colin! My spelling is APPALLING as well! Knot ass bad ass myne

This is what gets me when I called them up they wanted £240 for a P1 in April and when I said I would supply my own oil the guy said we don't allow that!! Now you go there for the same thing and have no issues using your oil and get it for £40 less, I ended up going to Bishops in Guilford and had £750 of other work done with the service and they gave me 15% off the bill. So some numty on the phone cost Wilson's a nice earner Sorry to hear of AndWood's experience. I am no fan of Wilsons generally and have heard some sorry tales - the fact they are running several franchises, with Peugoet/Renault in particular, dosen't help in my view. However, as I want the official Nissan stamps to ensure no quibbles over any warranty issues on the ZEDS I have owned, and they are in walking in distance, the 'Nissan' section has so far been OK and I have had no issue with their servicing and they have been quite happy to use my (Opie supplied) oil. The big grumble is the charge they and other Nissan garages make in and around London so if we can get them to drop prices noting the 'competition' might be taking their trade then that's good for us. On my previous ZED Wilsons sorted out the well known tyre noise issue I had with Nissan, resulting with two new free front tyres (after 17k miles on the originals) and tweeks to the suspension geometry, and after I drew their attention to it being a known issue having learnt from this forum. I have always made a point of personally thanking the mechanic/technican concerned on finding the car returned unmarked, and as best as can be checked, that all the work has been carried out. If you know you are likely to go back that does pay dividends and no doubt ZEDs are a welcome change from all the run of the mill Micras etc they normally get. When you are seen to be a true enthusiast with some knowledge of the car, in my experience it does seem to help ensure everything is done as you would expect. So far for me that is the case and the reception guys now know me as a customer who has no reason to give them an earful, rather the opposite. That is not say that if there were a local ZED specialist, I would not hestitate to use them - certainly post the warranty period. But the thing using a distant specialist is that if you do have problems that can mean you have to resort to somewhere local and if you are not a known customer then that is when I have found in the past that you end up taking a chance things will be sorted and at a fair price - not always successfully. Perhaps I have been lucky with Wilsons, but I can only suggest that if you have any issues with servicing/repairs there is to make yourself known to the service manager (John) who I have found to be fair and helpful given the constraints he is probably working under in an otherwise impersonal organization.

Cor, this thread I started has gone down the pan

I am utterly amazed a sunset owner has not grabbed this bargain - it would cost far more than £100 for stripping, a good respray and then reassembling their own and given we know ZEDS do like to collect stone chips........... Well worth travelling for and knowing Tim would have had it done to perfection

Oh, he's just a techno geek - upmarket version of those who take the papers in with them

It has been http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=23486 Somehow missed that thread, but glad I was right If I didn't have the Nismos I would go for that finish on the Rays that are currently gathering dust - does look supurb

Just told the service manager about all the 350Z-UK customers going off to Ancaster Croydon and he is happy to match the 10% discount. The Parts manager wasn't there so not sure on that front - will find out in due course. Sales guys said they are not getting any 370's, so don't bother looking or hoping for a test drive there But they are happy to take an order

That looks a cracking job Would look good on a GM too, me thinks

You bought a ZED to go shopping in NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I wouldnt say that i bought it so that i can go to the shops in although i unfortunately have to do those kind of things! problem that i find is that sometimes on the way u start giving it some beans, then fill the car up with shopping and forget about it. next thing u know ur belting round a roundabout with pints of milk and tins of beans flying everywhere! Yeah - I have to admit to that but usually go to the shops in the 'shopping trolly' as my other 'alfs Jazz is affectionally called
