  4. Interesting what you say Jables about your experience as I had my suspicions about the re-surface and noticing the recent 'off' tyre marks at the corner and posted up to that effect given it was a hot day with increasing useage the thought that oils were seeping to the surface was a factor. But then edited it when the delamination + tyre size issue was coming to the fore that semed to be more relevant, but we might never know to be sure............... viewtopic.php?f=18&t=62278&p=894974#p894974
  5. Hi Mark I had a similar symptom once when the car was about about 6 months old (4k miles). Thought I would do a drag start but in my case when I floored the loud pedal it stuck down as I released the clutch which seemed to have the effect of drastic clutch slip and no forward momentum resulting in the usual burning smell you get from an over-worked clutch. I recall I immediately 'released' the loud pedal with toe-hooking as the poor of 370 was banging away on the rev-limiter for just a few seconds, but whether in hindsight it had stuck down or that was my perception I don't know For a few miles afterwards the clutch was obviously a bit hot, but when it had cooled down it was fine and I have never had the problem since with 17k miles on the clock. At the time I wondered if it was something to do with the accelerator sticking - if you go and press yours fully down you will feel a click. I thought there was something amiss but I subsequently learnt the 'click' is to do with the cruise function - i.e. if you decide to floor it when in cruise that 'click' will trip it out of cruise mode. But given what Neilp says "My 350z does that. It's the initial torque peak that the clutch cant cope with. If it did engage it would probably destroy the clutch plate" I kinda wonder if that is what happened to me and it was nothing to do with the accelerator The fact I have had nothing further happen in that department to sound warning bells makes me think my slave/master cylinders and clutch fluid level were/are not the issue, but then again perhaps my 'issue' was different Be interested to hear what your dealer says though

  16. I'm afraid I'm with Ekona on this one. I don't doubt what happened at all but you would have to be able to prove that 1) it was definitely the cause of the accident and 2) that it was they who put the wheels round the wrong way. Short of a confession there are just too many ways out for the garage and to try and pursue the legal route may end up being stressful, frustrating and expensive. I really feel for you but I think you may just have to take the hit (excuse the pun). Good luck. +1 I'm afraid, Never ever nice when this sort of thing happens and whilst these days there is an increasing tendency to look to others for blame/compensation I presume you chose not to take out track insurance which is the option that would helped you, after the excess, to recover much of the expense of putting your car right.
  17. Thread locked in that case
  18. What dyno was that on? Most we've seen have been from Abbey on they Dynapack, 320@hub sounds high compared to theirs. Maybe you have a freak of nature No just a superior car How big was that last fish you caught
  19. Gutted for you Steve Now none of that is not going to fix your car but it might explain why you lost it at that point? Edit - just seen the delamination issue on your other thread which means my thoughts about an oily surface from recent re-surfacing leading to your off can be ruled out
  20. Bennett wasn't too far ahead of you guys, they could probably smell his exhaust still. Could do a best caption on this - mine: "who farted?"
