Prefer the wolf in sheep clothing to be honest. Nismo is just too in your face for me. Plus. I would have to fork out another £20k for a Nismo that has roughly the same power output as my present upreved 370 and doesn't have an exhaust note to match the Stillen I have. Now for a lot, lot less than £20k I could upgrade suspension & brakes and s/c (as Darren-B has done) and have a stonking 450bhp - a 100bhp or so more than the Nismo. And it would still look the same externally to most eyes. Darren did make the point to me in Wales that in his opinion (and I highly respect his judgement) anything more than 450bhp is really of little use on the road. Just saying........

Lunchtime stop at the Waterloo in Betws-y-Coed and the sole use of the car park they reserve for our visit: Three cheers to Graham for a terrific weekend - not sure what his minder was up here though Not content with lunch Buster had to have cake as well - anyone would think he was in the Zed Shed But is was also Adrian and Letti's little girl - Ann-Marie's 7th birthday. What more could a girl want but to spend it with members of the best 350/370 forum in the UK But she was an absolute gem and a real credit to Letti and Adrian and then for Sunday afternoon drive, or rather stop on the way at Lyn Ogwen, after the tunnel run on the A55: and come the going home on the Monday, who do we find in the car park with the his ZED gleaming yet again (the only one). But then Ken has to be one of our best unsung stalwarts, and especially this weekend getting all the drives done with a damaged shoulder (DIY accident) - true ZED enthusiasm It was the best Wales weekend yet and despite the weather trying to put a dampener on things the turn out was a credit to all those who took part and really good to see a lot of new members And special thanks to Andyvvc/Lydia; SpursMadDave and ChrisS who no longer have Zeds but chose to not only enjoy the weekend with us but help with making the weekend such a success. After the Saturday drive, which was mostly dry(ish) in Wales we arrived back to a wet Moreton and the usual Saturday afternoon for washing and shining lost out to the call of the bar for most But some hardy ones gave it their best so some random shots in the car park: Think Ady spotted something missing (see list below) on Andy James s/c 350 Haydn sending smoke signals all weekend ........and then camera away for the hog roast - hmmmmmm that was good

Not sure I agree with that statement. Its introduction in 2009 was preceeded by massive press release and all sorts of rumours about what it would look like and feature. Then Nissan offered the chance to drive them at Silverstone on track and on the surrounding roads but I had to pull a lot of strings to get a place in September with that test confirming the the car looked the business (I also had doubts on that front from the pics - like many others) and they handled/drove as well as the 350. Trying to buy one from the first batch that arrived in 2009 was near on impossible I recall, until I struck very lucky to spot a web advert from a dealer for their 68 mile demonstrator in late November 2009 just as the ad popped up on the web. Rang and secured the sale with a £500 deposit but had to wait until the end of December to take it off the dealer (Nissan stipulation). The salesman said that he could have sold my 370 10 times over, but the fact he also got a damn fine 350 in p/x helped secure the deal In winter no less. But with the rescession biting even harder in 2010-2011 and the electric/green lobby having their way was really the death-knell of sales ever reaching 350 levels. But what pleasantly surprises me is thst despite the often negative comparison comments with Z4's/Caymans etc it does seem that the relatively low numbers is the reason s/h prices are holding up so well - in fact I would say that after nearly 4.5 years the residual value of mine now is about the same as the 3 year old 350 that I traded in for the 370 so no doubt the rareity value is a bonus for us owners

+1 the recession and tax hike hit all big engined cars I agree. But you still see tons of late M3's, M5's, AMG's etc. I think most buyers spending between £30k and £60k go for German cars. As Kev says, recession took its toll on sales and let's face it with family's making cut backs the 'luxury' of buying sports car was off the agenda. Yes, sales of 4 seater cars suffered too, even the luxury wagons like M3s, M5s, AMGs and the like but then those able to afford those (or their companies) were generally less affected by the cut backs others with less income had to make, IMO.

......at the expense of mbs who celebrates is 68 birthday today - you have made my day, but hope yours is an even better one celebrated with the odd the shandy - maybe the malt variety, eh?

I might be wrong but I don't think oil coolers are fitted to UK 370's - except the Nismo version maybe?
