    Tape Deck

    Mix tapes, class!! Helter Skelter!
  3. IMO you would get the best results from an Alpine headunit, iPod interface and bluetooth controller.
  4. +1! Although this morning when on the M4 they did have 'Do not hog the middle lane' on the gantry. I was very impressed. Made me laugh as they parted like the red sea!
  5. For me there's the looks, the noise, the handling, the V6 grunt, but the main thing is it is actually quite exclusive. In my drive to work I am lucky if I see one. I just love the reaction it gets wherever I go, the what is it, is it a James Bond car, all that stuff. And the fact it's not a badge snob car.
  6. You polish, then seal, then wax. End of. There is no need to polish after you have applied sealant, what does it achieve?? Sealeant products? Chemical Guys jetSEAL 109 is a great product, check Detailing World for the number of people who swear by it, professional and amateur alike. Then wax on top gives a nice finish. Collinite is a similar thing by make sure it's their hardest wax.

    passenger grab handle

To get this off is it a case of literally just prising it off or is there a special technique? I need to have a go at polishing mine up.....

    BLEEDING BRAKES

Changed to a sticky for the useful info.
  9. If there's enough interest, I'll see about sorting it out.
  10. We had an Elise, I loved it.....
  11. I thought claying a car was meant to have the same effect, clearing all previous wax and polish off. Have I got this wrong or are you making certain there is nothing left on the paint? Claying pulls the nasty stuff off / out of the paint. The wash will do as Martin says (although I wouldn't recommend Fairy myself!) and the clay 'cleans' the paint of the contaminates, sap, grit etc. in the topcoat. cheers for clearing that up for me, just when I thought I had understood it The science goes that the water / lubricant acts as a thin layer and as the soft but sticky clay passes over the dirt it sticks in the clay rather than stay in the paint. Then you are left with lots of little holes and dirty bits that polishing then flattens and fills. After than, you put a protector on (sealant or hard wax) and then you put you nice looking wax as a finish.

  15. The dealer..... Bought the next one I saw though!
  16. Typical dealers not thinking about the customer.....
  17. Welcome to the club You certainly can fit a sat nav in there. Some come with it already....
  18. Hi and welcome to the club 1. Traction in the wet is generally pretty good. I've never had an issue and it's not something that is reported. There standard Bridgestone RE040's they put on the earlier models really aren't that great. A sticky set of Toyos / Michelins / Falkens usually sorts it out nicely. 2. MPG - late teens to mid 20's depending on general driving. On a run, 30 mpg plus. Tyres, who knows, big variable. Mine are about 10k gone and fine (Toyos). Rest of the parts are reasonable. Brake components from Nissan are a fortune. Aftermarket are better and less cash. 3. Insurance? Join the postcode lottery..... We have a couple of insurance traders, try them for a quote.
