  1. They do tend to be. TBH I'd consider using the XR tweeter with the Focal woofer......
  2. Amazing pics and a lot of money on show there!
  3. I have the JL C5's and I love them. They are much better than my XR's and good enough to win trophies......
  4. This will help too. viewtopic.php?f=17&t=16403
  5. At that budget I'd look at some Hertz / JL Audio / Rainbow components up front. Personally I've always found JL Audio right on the money for subs. I have these up front http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/audio-e ... -7296.html Sub wise this is a great product http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/audio-1 ... -7280.html Have you got cabling / sound proofing covered in the budget too?
  6. I can only find the 5024 Kenwood http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/kenwood ... -7345.html Both will do a job. These sorts of double DIN touch screens can be a bit confusing to use on the move though. If you're keeping the BOSE amp you'll need the PAC ROEM adaptor and there are options on the steering wheel controls. I've got an Alpine unit that needed some pulling apart and soldering to get the steering wheel controls to work. You will lose the phone controls on the steering wheel/ If you want to use the iPhone, then get yourself an Alpine unit. The head unit actually controls the iTunes on the iPhone and makes use much better. Best of all, it uses the Alpine software to reproduce the sound which IMO sounds much better than the Apple stuff!
  7. Happy birthday mate! Nice presents too!

Living in Scotland helps with the letting it dry without streaks. I've got an Aqua Gleam and that struggles!
  9. What Stew says is pretty much the situation. A good dealer should help you......
  10. That did make me laugh! Glad you're pleased with the exhaust though.
  11. Nice response. I had a little trip alongside one of these a while ago. They're not slow.
  12. Looking mate! You can tell the paint has had a clean with the SSR and Dodo Juice does put a nice layer on top. Nice job!
  13. Using the standard mounts there isn't mush room for spacers behind the grille. The Alpines shouldn't need a spacer but I'd get the mounting depth needed and double check first. For the cash though, I'd look at getting a set of JL TR's though...... As for rears, I'd put most of my budget up front. If you want the music to sound as it intended, you need the sound up front. So probably faded forward a bit and therefore you don't need the best speakers behind you. Put the effort into the front speakers and you'll heard the benefits Factory sub mount will need a lot of effort to seal it well enough to do a proper job with a decent sub. It needs a bit of research as there's only so much space behind the seat and subs need a certain volume to work best in.
  14. The SSR shouldn't really be left at all. You keep it moving until it goes powdery and then you buff / wipe it clean with a fresh cloth. Glad you had a positive experience with most of the products. You've got a good bunch of stuff there. The step that would make applying and removing products easier would be claying....... Now get the pics up!
