Hi there, Just been in today, mine is ready to map straight away, UK53 plate. Might get it done when I have a few more pennies to spare!! It had a diagnostic power run on Paul's dyno today as the engine has been bouncing off the limiter at 5500rpm, threw up an issue with the drive shaft sensor, having said that it did return 274.4hp at the flywheel, not bad for a standard car! I can recommend RS Tuning, they did a good job on the Clio 172 I had before my 350Z. John

Hi there, Been under the bonnet and the 'A/T Cont' and 'Tail' fuses are missing, what are these? Also in the drivers side fuse box there are three additional fuses inserted that are not listed on the diagram: Top row 5 in next to 'mirror' Bottom row 4 in next to 'meter' Bottom row 7 in next to 'audio' Any ideas what they are for? Ouch, very frosty reception from Amy at Nissan Leeds because I didn't want to fork out a silly amount of money for them to pull the engine apart!! Almost got ushered out of the place. Dealers suck.

The car has just been into the main dealer for a free 15 minute check over, suprise suprise they found the problem, just as I have, but not the cause. The biggest suprise is that they want £530 to just find the cause of the problem not including any additional parts or labour! How can they sleep at night?!! Needless to say, I am not paying that. Going to see if RS Tuning can help.

I've been pillion on the back of my mate's tuned Triumph Daytona, scary, scary stuff. Don't think I dare get my bike licence, I'd end up wrapped round a tree half way across a field, most people are not vigilant enough to keep an eye out for bikers, I know from being out on my road bike only doing 40mph let alone 140mph (which incidently is what the Mr. Biker would need to have been doing to go past me, oops, Zs are quicker than they feel!). My old girlfriend was an intensive care nurse, on neuro-intensive care they call bikers 'organ donors.' Nice.

My mate had a JCW and it cost about £23000, at the time I had a Clio Williams, we swapped over and I could not shake him off. My Williams only cost £3000 at the time, can't see how the JCW was worth it!! Just sold a Clio remapped 172 and now have a 350Z GT, completely different, can't throw the Z around as much as the Clio, and my weekday commute through the potholed side streets of Leeds is so frustrating in the Z, but I love it, the noise is awesome and everytime I fire it up it puts a mile on my face, it is such a nice place to sit and boy can it pile on the pace so easily where as I used to have to screw the 172. I do miss the Williams, was so raw, but also so basic. Definately have the right car now. Had a naughty-MPH race with a guy on a GSX-R followed by the obligatory mutual nod of acknowledgement and approval at the next lights, he even pulled a massive wheelie away from the lights for me, good fella!!

Are there any independent specialists in the Leeds area?

Cheers for your help guys, the car has done just under 52000, not sure about doing it in sixth, don't know anywhere I could get away with going that quickly!! For everyday driving it's fine, it's not that often I will be really accelerating at full pelt to the redline again and again. Might see if I can find a cheap local specialist to have a look. Or just wait until the next service and get them to see.

Hi Everyone, Does anyone know a good, reasonable garage in Leeds that could respray the bumper and bonnet of my 350z? Just picked it up this week. Also any ideas how much the work would be? Once it's done, and it's all washed and waxed I could sling some pictures on if anyone'd be interested!! John

No, it does it in 2nd/3rd/4th any gear under hard accleration but not under gentle acceleration.

It is bouncing off the rev limiter at 5500rpm, the shift light is set to 6600rpm, as I said in neutral or slowly accelerating it will rev up to 6600rpm, it is just under hard acceleration it bounces off the limiter at 5500rpm.
