Welcome to the site. As has been said, the Zed will come through in any head to head test drive with an S2000. I nearly bought one, and am so glad I got the Zed.

Just somewhere that has good food and surroundings really. I know it's not very specific but I just want something relaxing that I can get some good food. Thanks for the link.

We were down by the river watching too - you weren't dancing a jig on the boardwalk by the river were you Fireworks were pretty good Off to the festival next Saturday - bib and tucker I was in the BArn BAr from about 6 and it was there I managed to cause serious levels of head pain for my Sunday. Could've been dancing, no idea!! I don't usually go that far but needed a release!

Hi all, I'm looking to go across and get some goodies from over the Channel, and am thinking of spending a night there while doing it. I know nothing about the 1-2 hours drive area from Calais (apart from Belgium!) and need some ideas about where is nice to spend a night for good food, drink and accommodation?

Accident sounds nasty, I did hear about it. I was in Henley from midday Saturday and didn't recognise my own reflection by the time I got home at 1.30 Sunday morning. Think I saw some fireworks.....

I need to learn how to use a camera full stop. I did my gf's Dad's Merc a few weeks back and it was covered in swirl marks. But every picture I took failed to show them up. To the eye you could see a huge difference but couldn't get a camera shot to show the full effect. Any photographers that can offer suggestions?!

Have spent most of my time driving on Yoko's / Falkens / Toyos. Of all I'd say the Yoko's have the best grip (but not available for 18" Zed wheels), Falkens were good and the Toyo's sit in the middle. Had them on mine for 6 months now and they're great. Quieter than the Bridgestones too.

No don't, someone did that to my car once and the amount of damage caused is silly. Congrats Sarnie, pleased for you. I would've done exactly the same thing, jeans, t shirt and they'll like it! Not too jealous either.....

Or anybody said you can't wear a national football shirt in a school in case it upsets anyone or any other reason, I agree.

We just need someone to set up one of those official petitions on the PM's website now.....!!

ICE installers in Cambridgeshire/Essex/Norfolk
H5 replied to holtehero's topic in I.C.E & Electronics
I don't know of any in that area, but one slight word of warning..... Buying speakers on the internet and then getting them installed elsewhere often doesn't work out that much (if any) cheaper. Installers are normally dealers themselves and trade on the advice they offer as well as install. Just in case they quote a few hours to do your speakers. -
If that were the case, every journalist in the country would be behind bars for slander. You can't take something someone writes, in a free speaking country, and prosecute them. If you have had an accident and then post the gory details up then I can see your point. Otherwise, we can write what we like.

TBH it's like any advice - mortgages, recruitment, estate agents, betting tips etc........ You make your decision off the back of it. There will be the unscrupulous, well intended, mentally challenged, able, exceptional people that offer all sorts of advice. As has been said reccommendation is often the best way and anyone wanting to build a business / reputation will work hard on that. But just the same way we try and mod our cars ourselves we'll try these things too. My best mortgage was one I bought and arranged myself. So far, I've used two mortgage advsiors, both have cause me pain. I'm a qualified bean counter so I understand the figures better than most of them do - still hasn't stopped it. Sarnie, you want some business in a couple of months?!

I loved the Impreza P1, and most of the Evo's. Built purely for purpose and screw the looks. Kinda makes it pretty too.....

That's been my experience to date! Am out of my discount period and the other half of the deal is fixed. But they won't let me have another product or merge it into one product resulting in me being on their standard variable rate. Which is roughly equal to f@7king expensive. Oh, and it wipes out the benefit of the discount in the 6 months I'm stuck. Well constructed Mr Mortgage advisor! And presumably the thing stopping you from sweeping both parts up and going with another provider is that you will pay a penalty (to your existing supplier) for ending your deal early - the amount increasing the nearer you get to the end of the discounted term? That's the one, except it's a fixed amount for the penalty of 3% of amount borrowed. Why this wasn't picked up, I do not know! And Sarnie, what you say is completely right. So in a nutshell - screwed.

Hi, Not got an 07 but with reference to your other points... You can take out extended warranty at any point within the initial warranty period (plus a grace period after - can't remember how long). Re: the other cars, the S2000 won't compare, no torque and a different car the the Zed. TT doesn't 'feel' the same, you'll see what I mean when you drive it. Z4, if you can live the image then all fine. As far as I know, Auto Express is the only review that places those above the Zed. And they gave a Corsa CotY! As for the leather, it does seem to make a difference on resale, ask Louis (sl114). Also, Zeds do hold their value well. Most cars are losing well over 50% in three years, the Zed does well. You'll still pay £17-18k for a 3 - 4 yr old one.

Wiring a sub to a non-bose, OEM head unit, Can it be done?
H5 replied to elrao's topic in I.C.E & Electronics
The outputs from the BOSE unit are midway between RCA and speaker level as far as I know. That's why that adapter thingy is used when just changing the head unit. In answer - 1. Don't know, not sure it matters because:- 2. No. 3. No, as I think the level still may be wrong for your Basslink. -
Not at 3am in the morning, and not on a Honda Fireblade... And not 3 inches shorter when you got there by not breaking the time continuum.

I've never seen me go past a Celica GT4 at an indicated limited speed.

If you're going for one that new you may well be able to get the Sat Nav factory option with the car. Plenty take the upgrade now. If you want to add just Sat Nav after there is the cubby hole you get when not supplied with Sat Nav that is perfect for it. A decent installer should be able to install one well.

Nothing 'wrong' with it. I have some and I have used the following finishes with my comments:- AG Ultra Gloss Protection - great finish, very very long lasting and gives a bit of protection on stone chips. Is semi permanent and lasts approx 6 months for me. Can be bought back easily with any of the products as top up below. P21S - best finish of the lot, very easy to use, looks amazing. Very easy to reapply. My favourite (except for winter prep when I use the above) Meguiars stage 3 (I think) Carnuba wax - average finish, easy enough to use but the P21S shows the way. You can do worse. Meguiars Gold Class - hugely disappointing. Did half a friend's car in this and half in the above. The above showed it up IMO. It almost looked dull and is still in my cupboard with only half a car application used. As a top up, I've used:- AG Show Shine - aerosol based top up, contains silicone which isn't ideal, occasional smearing in anything other than properly cool conditions. Megs Speed detailer - brilliant stuff to maintain a good shine and can be used on any surface really. Non aerosol so easier to control. My opinion, HTH.
