I agree, i have never known it either but you are correct GT is misleading for any other dealer other than Nissan.

Just wanted to say thanks guys, i went to the stealer today and bashed his head against a wall untill he admitted defeat. He did cast some element of doubt around the whole GT thing and i really couldnt be sure, only you fellow GT owners could confirm it for sure. This is why this forum ROCKS!!! Thanks again.

I wonder if anyone can clear something up for me. I belive i have got a 350z GT as it has leather trim, cruise controls, and the Bose stereo. I am looking at part ex at the moment a new car, and one of the dealers i am talking with says that my car is not a GT as it doesnt say it on the V5.... Is this correct? I thought it would not say it as the GT is a pack... Any advise would be great, i called nissan dealer and they said mine was a GT but didnt know what the V5 should say.

Looks like i just bought a rear box from one of the guys on here. So many thanks for the info, just a shame nobody does a rear box that fits straight on..

In that case i just need a backbox as i will put it on myself, used to be a mechanic many years ago. Will have to dust off the tools.

Andy - out of interest, what is the problem with your exhaust? Has the flange corroded where it joins the centre pipe? This is what happened to mine and I know a few other people have experienced the same problem. Thats exactly what has happend, i put it up on some ramps yesterday and took a look, its only the flange (got to love that word) that has corroded on the backbox side. I took a pic yesterday too as i couldnt shrink my head enough to look above it.

Hi all, Does anyone know if there are any rear boxes other than the stock, that can be fitted to the rest of a stock exhaust? I need to replace my stock backbox before it falls off and i dont want to spend a whole load of money at this point as i am being robbed for the next year by people who need paying for a wedding.. GRRRR.. Maybe i should just dump her and get a whole new exaust.

I may be interested, just noticed today that my exhaust is blowing, will take a look at it tomorrow to see what box is knackered.

Is the amp different for the sub? I thought the sub was powered from the amp in the boot?
