Easiest way to reduce the brake dust is to get yourself some Red Stuff pads off bigphil on here. Next step would be to clean em every week with water. If you do have them refurbished / get new ones, then waxing them will help seal them or use AG Ultra Gloss Protection which is a semi permanent hard coat.

I mean that I had it done when I got it and then a few months ago. So about 11 months apart. But I hit a pot hole a few days ago and the steering wheel isn't straight anymore. But yes, it doesn't hold alignment well on my local back roads....

But if you had someone working for you who had knowingly kept something away from you that would cost you $100m, reputation and a whole world of pain, would you still want them working for you??? An early indication can also be higher fuel consumption. If it is generally worn the revs won't jump up but there will be a constant slip that means to go as you would with no wear the engine is working that bit harder.

Having had my Zed for about 14 months, I've had to have 4 wheel alignment done twice in that time. It being a tad lardy and our roads being what they are, it seems to get knocked out pretty easily. Mine is doing this at the moment and it is due to have it done again.

I picked one of these up from Robert Dyas the other day, on account of the fact it was only £9.99. I used it on the Zed, Volvo and Lotus yesterday as a test. I'm not sure if many / any of you have got these already, but for those who can't be doing with the whole multi bucket (I use 4 normally) effort, it is a clever bit of kit. It has the wash solution built in for coating the car before mitt (NO SPONGE!) useage. I have got an inline filter on my hose ready for use, but I thought I'd try this thing first, and I have to say the spotless dry does genuinely work. In a nutshell, it's de-ionised water (therefore almost pure) so when it dries it leaves no residue or spots. It took a lot of will power to not dry any of them, but even after a night of heavy dew, all the cars are still spot free. I even used it on the wheels. In short, I'd recommend one (at £9.99 anyway!). In Robert Dyas, the refills for the thing are only £4.99 for 10 wash cartridges. It's especially useful for doing multiple cars as you don't have to worry about drying. On the flip side, it doesn't help if you want to polish / wax. I'm yet to use it when clay barring, which I think could be the real gain.

Looking cool bud! From the first picture, I'd recommend a clay bar time on the sills and some grease / tar remover on the front bumper. Got a real nice smear free finish on her. Am liking the black.
