  1. It makes me so angry that people think they can do that. The Elise owner should get this as well known as possible and get the little sh!tes all they deserve. I had my car walked over from end to end, ruining the bonnet and boot. Police cameras were watching them then someone started a fight outside a pub and they panned away about 20 seconds before they did it. Any idea whereabouts this was?
  2. I have indeed, and unfortunately that normally means hot gear. And since I've had more than my fair share of stuff stolen, I'd happily anyone who offered it to me. If you know suppliers etc, I'm confused by the question as we don't know who you know!
  3. The Reading Jap meet is organised by Team Shock IIRC. We could hit that one month. Other than that, we could at least meet at a pub somewhere and grab a carbonated soft drink of our choice before testing the adhesive propoerties of rubber on Berkshire's roads? Maybe The Plough?
  4. Have you seen this one for sale?: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... 943#124943 Hasn't got the Nismo kit fitted but otherwise the car looks great base on which to add the kit He he, this is pretty much my car already! I want one with the NISMO kit on it from standard as I can't be doing with the cost / hassle / quality issues with an aftermarket effort. Thanks though.
  5. If that's what you mean about braking style, I do exactly the same (I thought everyone was taught that way ) and am fine with the Redstuff. The OEM won't do it as they are too busy turning themselves to dust to coat your wheels. Hope you can get it sorted!
  6. I'm off in two weeks time Calais - Trier - Mannheim - Rhein Valley - Lake Como - Pisa - Cannes - Carcassone - Algarve - Calais Millau Viaduct on October 1st Three weeks in the Z! Can't wait That's the sort of thing! We're thinking of doing ours in two and a half weeks (route above is about 2,500 miles), and going June next year. Might even see if I can incorporate a Grand Prix somewhere along the lines now I think of it..... It looks like there are some quite big distances between those, are you only staying one night at each stop?
  7. I concur, never a peep out of them Same for me, and so much better than the OEM. but have you guys had ferodos? if yes, could you develop the squeal using ferodos... and now you cannot get this squeal under the same circumstances... this is what i want to know... otherwise it could be your braking styles are different from mine... I've had oem, redstuff and ferodo's OEM: Crap Redstuff: Good and NO squeeling Ferodo's: Superb but wailed like a banshee I think you mean would the EBC's squeal because the Ferodo's do? If so, then not at all. The EBC's come with a shim applied that seems to do the job. The braking 'style' shouldn't make any difference as it's still just pistons pressing a pad. Only thing you might want to check is that all pistons aren't seized at all, or see whether you can get some shims for the back of the Ferodos.
  8. OK mate But I'm really confused how this can be gained for £350!!
  9. Sounds like the sort of thing. Quick look this morning and am thinking of a route along the lines of:- Calais - Paris - Carcassonne - Cannes - Monaco - Milan - Venice - Florence - Modena - Geneva - Reims - Calais. This look sensible and likely to take in those mountain roads I'm looking for?!
  10. If you fancy a few little gadgets and things to play with, then a head unit like this would be a good start - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/blaupun ... -5924.html Great tuner and good phone performance. Followed up by a portable Sat Nav would do a job. As an integrated one, try one of these - http://www.nav-now.co.uk/product.php?fdProductId=52
  11. Alright guys, I was thinking of going to Oz in the new year, but the GF and I have decided we'd probably rather do a driving trip down to Italy. Her parents are moving to the south of France so would incorporate that area (near Perpignan). Question is, for a 2-3 week trip, any body have suggested routes / web sites etc for a tour, that allows one or two 2-3 night stops for some relaxation? Would love to get to Ferrari and Lambo while there, and possibly call into Geneva on the way there / back? Some more experienced advice needed!
  12. As it says, am on the look out for one. Have searched the usual sources, if anyone hears of one please let me know!
  13. I concur, never a peep out of them Same for me, and so much better than the OEM.
  14. Might be a bit tight to get that for £200 though? It'll be tight to get any of it for £200 For the price of a Tom Tom, then the hassle / cost of wiring it, making a plate up, fitting it and then the quality of it, a little bit extra ££ on an integrated unit would pay dividends IMO.
  15. I've had both but on different cars. IMO, both are a great improvement, but the Toyo gives a better wet weather performance.
  16. Got to be the Tom Tom (or similar, there are better out there for the money). Failing that, one option not up there is an all in one unit that would replace the BOSE and give you Bluetooth, better sound, Sat Nav all in one.
  17. I think you'd wake up not needing breakfast if you ate that thing!
  18. Wokingham, from town centre to roundabout, yesterday afternoon about 2pm. I came into the left lane and looked across as you did but couldn't stop. Was looking shiny
  19. Same as all main dealers at routine services - not a lot for the money except stamp your book!
  20. Is about an hour and a half from me, may well pop down.
  21. I seem to remember there was a website that I think someone on here posted a link up for that gave you the weight of a wide range of alloys based on brand and size. I've done a search and can't find it on Google or here. Anyone help??
  22. At the end of the day neither are bad cars. That said, it is nice when kids ask their Dad's if they can look at the car and the parents themselves are even keen to....... That won't happen with the Griffin, but you would have the power and practicality you're looking for. Is it time?! If it is, let me know of course.....
  23. H5

    They've arrived!

Surely the consignment note would say there should have been four packages, with their own barcode etc for identity? Hope you sort it out.... But it has made me - Sorry!
