  1. Only 2 weeks behind everyone else!
  2. How many manufacturers use NOS?
  3. cant wait to see it, how are you tackling the ecu issue? Strictly speeaking we don't need to do anything with the ECU as ours is a 2003 JDM but we will be fitting the F-con to maximise everything and fine tune it. Who'll do the tuning, Phil?
  4. No you don't. Increasing the bhp will increase the MAX speed of you car. The difference in real life will be that you will be hitting 70mph faster than previously, not that you will all of the sudden drive 140mph all the time, followed by a full stop for traffic lights. Read your post twice seems to me you contradicting your opening line it's not because your car CAN run faster that you WILL run it faster. I guess nobody here who installed a turbo kit installed it to get a higher max speed out of his car. With that line of thinking all cars from Fiestas to Ferraris sold in the UK only require basic brakes suitable for hauling them down gently from 70 mph every now and again. If you upgrade performance, it must follow that on a long stretch of country road your average speed and probably your peak speed will be greater i.e. you will achieve greater velocity between corners and therefore your brakes will take more abuse. Brake upgrades will not only haul you down from high speed quicker but will reduce fade over concerted hard driving such as this. That's of course without even mentioning track use....
  5. Disappointed with this thread. From the title I though you were donating £2500 to the team....
  6. If you have to let the ZED go the 200SX looks a good shout - have you seen the latest EV0 that found when they purchased a standard one (for some thrash around against other teams) it was pushing out about 20bhp more than Nissan claimed when new + they found their buy a very tidy one...................just my two pennies worth went to a rolling road session on sunday (@tdi north). One guy put his 17year old bog standard CRX on there. came out the factory with 150bhp and made 165bhp on the rollers. Now thats impressive, especially as its N/A. MK2? Loved the CRX until it went all girly and floppy-toppy! Yeah i think its the MK2 square looking one with the clear panel at the back. j plate i think. Apart from the seats that were slightly torn (stitched with CRX looked nice) Engine was super quiet and bodywork looked pretty decent. Ahhhh. I had the Civic from the same generation and I wanted one of them more than life itself.
  7. dont pay Nissan to fit it if you are going to buy a OEM one. Go to TDI North in warrington. Labour is half of what it is at Nissan. Should cost £49 to fit do you recomend TDI to do the p 1...2...3 servicing.......... Outside of warranty I'd say yes.
  8. When Jay thinks something is tacky you're in trouble!

  10. cant wait to see it, how are you tackling the ecu issue? does it not run with the stock ECU ? Only with JDMs. Phils is a JDM IIRC.
  11. No, I buy them because they are cheap and a good tyre, as opposed to an expensive, excellent tyre. Anyway, I'm going to take you're advice and save some cash by fitting Brillo pads to the brakes when they need replacing and then I can afford Michelins!!! You sound like a bloody woman You're not taking me up the OXO Tower, mate!
  12. Cheers for that - it's not about 'affording', its about the fact that as Rays are now standard on the GT, the option is not so enticing when you can save more than 2.5k and use that money towards a £300 DIN h/unit that is way better than OEM and supports iPOD. Leather re-upholstery at £500, kappa infinity speakers all-around and a decent 2nd pair of Volks wheels is what 2.5k buys ya. Throwing money at all the options does not necessarily get you a better car. I spent £200 on my Garmin, you spent £1300 on what apparently is not a great satnav, im quite happy to stow my satnav and accoutrements out of the way of prying eyes for 1100 squid my friend! Sounds logical to me!
  13. Good work mate, i only paid £250 for mine too +1
  14. Hi Nell! Welcome aboard. Nice Supra BTW!
  15. Hi mate! Sorry to hear you're selling up. I'm strangely drawn to the black Legacy....
  16. One sweet looking Zed there, Dave. Nice one!
