Wow, bet he takes some grooming, mate!
Well, just a little update. Scrappy has settled in really well. He's remembered his housetraining (so far...), sleeps quietly downstairs and after being a bit arsey with his food has realised that if he doesn't eat it he goes hungry.
He's walking to heel but his recall is taking some time so we've also invested in some once a week basic training which is also an opportunity for a bit of socialisation for him. He's very quick to decide which dogs he likes and which ones he wants to bite the face off....
Problems? Not too many. He likes to guard the castle entrances and if its busy outside he barks quite a bit - good for keeping those pesky burglars away. He's crap at playing - I need to spend more time persuading him that fetch is more stimulating than me throwing the ball, him grabbing it and then taking it off to a corner to chew!
I can't decide whether he's a bit dim or just lazy but Kong bamboozles him - once he can't get any more out by sticking his tongue in the hole (oooer missus!! ) he just gives up! All other toys bar this and his two balls have been swiftly destroyed.
He is damned lazy and nods off at the slightest opportunity letting me get one with some work.
